"I can walk on my own..." Yang muttered, the nurse helping her down the hall.

The woman shook her head. "Miss Xiao Long, you need help, whether you'll accept it or not."

The blonde rolled her eyes, but kept making her way down the hall without a fight.

The pair made their way to a room with the lights out and Yang gently opened the door. A small lamp sat on the table next to Ruby, asleep with her head resting on the hospital bed were Weiss lay.

"She hasn't woken up yet?" She asked the nurse.

"No... Miss Schnee is stable, but she hasn't woken up yet." The woman said as Yang limped her way inside the room. "I'll give you some time."

The blonde pulled up a chair, taking a seat next to her sister and gently rubbing her shoulder. "Ruby? You ok, sis?"

"W-wah..?" The brunette lifted her head a little bit. "Yang..?"

"Yeah, it's me sweetie." She replied. "How are you doing?"

Ruby looked up at Yang and just watched her for a second. "Are you ok..?"

Yang looked down to the right and hesitated. "I'm... I'm working on it..."

"Do you need to ta~"

"How's Weiss?" The blonde said, cutting off her sister.

Ruby blinked and took a breath. "Yeah... The doctors say she's been recovering really well, but... She still isn't opening her eyes."

Yang sighed. "I'm so sorry, Rubes... I know she means a lot to you, but she'll be ok."

"She means everything..." The girl with red tips whispered. "She means everything to me..."

"And she'll be ok." The taller girl firmly stated.

Ruby nodded slowly. "Yeah... yeah, you're right."

Silence took over again and the quiet beeping of the heart monitor was all that was heard.

"What are you gonna do..?"

The question Yang really didn't know how to answer.

She look to where her right arm was supposed to be. "I'll be unemployed I guess. I can't do my job like this."

"Yang..."

"I don't know what to do next." She whispered. "My entire job... I need to be able to fight..."

"Ok, so maybe you can't to dangerous private security, but, but but but, you could be a security consultant or something." Ruby suggested. "Don't just give up."

"I'm gonna be out of the hospital in a few days. They're gonna give me more pills than I'd like to admit, but they're supposed to help."

"Please please, just... don't do anything rash."

"It's not rash to invite my girlfriend to move in with me." Blake reasoned.

Sun frowned. "Yeah, but why are you doing it?"

"She needs someone to support her and I want to keep her by my side." The raven woman said. "She needs me, and I'm going to be there for her."

"I'm not saying to not be there for her, but at least think about this! She's a strong woman who doesn't want to be told what to do and is feeling vulnerable right now, do you think she won't see that as pity?!"

Blake took a deep breath. "I'm going to the hospital, I'm picking up Yang, I'm going to explain it to her."

"Blake, think abo~"

"I can not take the chance that I'll lose her again." The woman said quietly, looking down towards the ground. "Don't you get that?"

"Of course I get it."

"Obviously not!" Yang hissed at the doctor. "I don't need a nurse at my fucking apartment! I can make a fucking sandwich without help!!"

"Ma'am, I understand the frustration, but it's our duty to make sure you get the care you need." He explained.

The blonde scoffed, clenching her fist. "I don't have the money to pay for a nurse, I don't have a secure job anymore, and I don't have the need for a fucking babysitter."

"At the very least I want someone to be able to help you." The doctor said.

"I'm usually hanging out with someone anyways. My sister, girlfriend, friends." Yang listed. "But not a fucking nurse. I'm not someone that needs help to survive the day to day."

"While you had two arms, maybe." He commented, stopping Yang in her tracks. "But you don't anymore, and it'll take time to get use to. Stick close to people."

The brawler wanted to argue, wanted to fight and show her independence... but she didn't have any energy left in her for another fight.

"Fine..."

"Thank you." The doctor said. "It's for your own good, Miss Xiao Long."

"Right..." She said, taking a breath. "Can I leave?"

"After some paperwork and a few tests, you'll be free as a bird." He replied.

"Right, a flightless bird..."

Blake walked into the hospital, making her way to the front desk. "Where would I find a Yang Xiao Long?"

The receptionist smiled at her. "Miss Xiao Long is in room 213. Sign in right here and you can go see her as long as the doctors don't need her for anything."

The raven haired woman nodded, going through the paperwork as quickly as she could before making her way to the room.

She ran down the hall, looking for that familiar golden mane. When she finally found the room number, a soft tap was all it took for the door to open up, Yang standing before her looking as if she was in shock still.

"Yang..?"

The blonde grabbed Blake in the tightest hug she could, the tears falling almost immediately. "I need... can I stay at your place for awhile..?"

Blake stopped for a moment, not expecting this amount of open and honest emotion from Yang, but soon tightly wrapped her arms around the girl.

"Of course you can." She said, almost thankful that she didn't have to ask.

"Thank you, Blake..."
