John thought to work in the mines was a hard job. He didn't like the backbreaking work, and the results were extremely disappointing. The worst part was when he saw what everyone else had found. The others came, and went. Going about to spend their riches. One humid morning, he went deeper, and deeper. Past his station, past everyone else, the darkness of the cave was barely lit by the light in his vest. He could feel heat getting more and more. John stopped, he checked the walls, from the walls formation, he could tell he wasn't very far down. He could yell and the others would hear him. But he told himself not to. He wondered why it seemed so strange. Then, it hit him. The heat. There wasn't supposed to be heat this deep. Then, it disappeared, The heat, and the light. John looked down. His flashlight was dead.

John wandered around aimlessly for a bit of time, then, he saw a light and felt more heat. He rushed towards it. There he saw a glowing sphere, that he had no way to describe. He started feeling carsick. He could not move away from the light. Slowly he was sucked inside.

John was sure he had died. There was no possible way he could be alive. He could see himself rising up. Then he pinched himself. That pinch seemed to drop him down, down. Through the clouds. Back to reality. But he was still there. Where he thought he was. He could see a forest through the clearing, and a pond in the center of it. As he walked on and on, He heard a noise. John stopped, there was nobody there, or was there?

He kept walking, noticing the strange size of everything. The trees had to be thousands of feet tall, The pond big enough to be a lake, the blades of grass almost as tall as him. He also saw little light orbs floating around. Once or twice he thought he heard his name, but he was just imagining it. Then all of a sudden, He saw it. The treehouses. On each tree there were treehouses that connected to each other with rope bridges or wooden ladders. He noticed each tree had about eight to ten huts, a slightly larger house, and three big buildings with flat roofs.

John gasped. He saw little critters moving around, each wearing a hood and had glowing eyes. They reminded him of Kirby. he saw some had farms, some had little blacksmiths, and some had shops. He saw a small sign that said "Welcome to Treetopia" Walking closer, a sky blue eyed little person saw him. They whispered to another and they nodded. The sky blue eyed critter slid down a rope and waved to John. More and more hopped or rolled or slid down to John as well. The sky blue eyed "elf" said "Hello mortal being, welcome to Treetopia. Would you like some food and drink?" John could not find his voice to reply.

"I think he has not seen elves like us, Aqua" said a shiny lime eyed goblin.

"Perhaps you are right, Emerald" said the elf named Aqua, "Are you hungry?" she asked John.

"Y-Yes" said John finally finding his voice. The elves led him to a cozy little hut with a blazing fire, a table, and two chairs. The two elves went out to a small farm, and gathered some flaming corn. John wasn't sure how to eat a piece of food on fire, but he didn't want to rude so he took a small bite. Surprisingly, he didn't get burned or yelp. The corn had a warm, buttery taste. But then, when the Elves walked back inside, they quickly placed the corn aside and gave him some snow peas. John was half full, but his mouth began to feel like it was on fire. He opened his mouth to see if it was on fire, but there was nothing there.

"You may want to eat some of these to avoid a mouth of fire." said aqua. John nodded, afraid he would burn the hut if he talked. He quickly gulped down some snow peas and instantly felt better.
