- You'll Be In My Heart ~ Phil Collins

- See You Again ~ Carrie Underwood (This was actually written for VDT, but the people in charge of deciding liked "There's A Place For Us" better. Both songs are freaking incredible and make me want to cry.)

After we all got cleaned up, The six of us, including Eustace and Reepicheep, we set off in a longboat to Aslan's Country. As we rowed through the Silver Sea, as it was apparently called, I stared at the beautiful snow-white lilies flowing on the surface of the water. "So what was it like when Aslan changed you back?" I asked Eustace, interested to know the details. "Now matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't do it myself. Then he came towards me. It sort of hurt, but it was an good pain. You know, like when you pull a thorn from your foot. Being a dragon wasn't all bad. I mean, I think I was a better dragon than I was a boy, really. I'm so sorry for being such a sod." Eustace explained.

As he rowed, Edmund smiled, "It's okay, Eustace. You were a pretty good dragon. Besides, you were only an ass, I was a traitor my first time to Narnia." I shot him a look. "I'm over it, Laurel. Really. I'm just stating the facts." I nodded, believing him. "My friends, we have arrived."

I looked out in front of us and watched in awe as we approached a sight. There was a strip of beach before a massive wave of water arched at an impossible angle. The boat hit the shore and we all got out, still in shock. As we walked to the wall of water, a shadow was spotted by Eustace. "Aslan." I jerked around to see the Great Lion walking with us. He smiled that mysterious smile of His, making me smile. How I'd missed Him.

"Welcome, children. You have done well. Very well indeed. You have come far and now your journey is at an end." My heart sunk at this news. We had to go back so soon? "Is this your country?" Lucy asked. Aslan shook His mane. "My country lies beyond." Caspian cocked his head. "Is my father in your country?" I stiffened. Wait, Aslan's Country is Heaven?! "You can only find that out for yourself, my son. But, you should know that of you continue, there is no return." Aslan patiently answered. So basically you have to die to get to Aslan's Country. That's nice and cheery.

I watched, out of my own mind, as Caspian walked forward and towards the wall of water. I panicked, thinking he wasn't going to say goodbye. But all he did was stand in front of the wave, running his hand through it. Caspian turned around and walked back to us, tears glistening in his eyes. "You're not going?" Edmund asked, breaking the silence. "I can't imagine my father would be very proud that I gave up what he died for. I've spent too long wanting what was taken from me and not what was given. I was given a kingdom, people. I promise to be a better king." He told us all, sounding wise beyond his years.

"You already are." The Lion smiled. Reepicheep scurried through the gap between Edmund's and Lucy's legs, taking off his feather and bowing to Aslan. "Your Eminence, ever since I can remember, I have dreamt of seeing your country. I've had many great adventures in this world, but nothing has dampened that yearning. I know I am hardly worthy, but with your permission, I would lay down my sword for the joy of seeing your country with my own eyes."

The Great Lion looked down upon the Mouse with His golden eyes looking even brighter with the sun beating down on us. "My country was made for noble hearts such as yours, no matter how small their bearers be." Reep bowed, murmuring, "Your Majesty." "No one could be more deserving." Caspian said, smiling fondly. Reepicheep shifted, flustered by the compliments. "Well, I-" "It's true." Edmund said, bowing to the Mouse.

Lucy knelt down so she wasn't as tall compared to Reepicheep, asking shyly, "May I?" He sighed wryly, replying, "Well, I suppose. Just this

-" She pulled him into a tight hug, like she had wanted to do the first time we met him. Thoughts of that adventure made me want to start crying. "Goodbye, Lucy." Reep said, being released from her grasp and padding over to me.
