The Enlightened Ones

Chapter 2: "The Lost Boy and the Geminis"

POV:Kathleen & Nicole

Kathleen awakes from a dream that seems too real. She sees light coming from... well from everywhere. She called out to her Armour but nothing came for it was but a mere human dwelling; a house. Her eyes began to adjust. She called out to Ayinde but he was no where to be found and just the same no one answered. Now, with her eyes fully adjusted she noticed that the light merely came from the heavens above or rather the sun she thought to herself happily. Her window was closed and she stared through it, she wished for it to open on its own. "I'M SO LAZY!" she yelled out, while reaching out with her hand outstretched toward the the sun. She willed the air to come to her but nothing happened. She screamed in frustration and suddenly the window burst open and the warmth of the sun truly touched her tanned skin and she smiled wholeheartedly as the cool fresh breeze,the very scent appealing to her happiness streamed in just as her daughter did. Nicole stared hard into her mother's eyes. They could only be her big beautiful brown iris' displaying her love right back at her. No symbols and flickering of energy. Nicole asked if her mother had a bad dream and that's when Kathleen's eyes lit up for a split second, purplish and blue in hue then a flash of white to separate the two combined colors and the gemini symbol flickered in and out of both eyes until it rested only in her left eye and Nicole's right; now an aquamarine color, similar to the color of life itself. Nicole and her mother smiled crazily until they hugged each other. Nicole then said "Mickey is coming!"which lit up her mother's face even brighter; her lover was nearly here from his trip to wherever he had to go but now he'd be home. She thought of Ayinde and squeezed her daughter tighter until the symbol vanished in both their eyes.

Nicole stepped back and asked what was for breakfast. Kathleen said "call your dad before he gets here he knows what to get us!" Nicole ran furiously through the doorway and the door closed behind her without her even touching it. Kat stared with a half smile realizing what had just occurred. She stood up and walked over to the window. She focused hard in the direction of the sun and thought of him. Her vision suddenly took her sight ever more forward, scanned and traversed the space between him and herself until it narrowed; quite quickly did she find him and see that he already had breakfast in the passenger seat of the car on his lap. She didn't even take the time to see who was in the driver seat. Besides, she saw what she wanted: food and satisfaction all in one. "My Geminiamor!" she screamed in excitement.

Nicole sat outside smiling like she had a free ticket to Disney world as she levitated whilst trailing her mother's gaze. Unbeknownst to her mother; she too could peer farther than her eyes could see. The air was to her like her parents were a friendly tool and guidance system to whatever may be of use to them with an overwhelming and loving embrace.. And upon seeing her father she floated down slowly in the backyard and begun playing on her playground set. She may have abilities but she was still only seven years old and playtime was limited; this she knew or at least that's what the H.O.G. had told her. She made an oink noise as she slid down the slide normally into soft dirt and sand all the while sandcastles falling and rebuilding themselves like castles in the sky with only that little girl's will and imagination to sustain them. They were suddenly suspended mid formation as her mom and dad looked her over. She screamed "Mickey!"and flew toward him from the top of the slide, her sandcastles were destroyed by gusts from her mother but rebuilt upon the sands where they belonged; all in the shape of their house. The H.O.G. watched from its' sandy beach-like form upon the backyard sands. They all embraced as another voice was heard. The voice of John Pearson that said "Hey Minnie!" Then he asked them if they wanted to look in the trunk. They all walked around the car to see what was inside. John was about to open the trunk with his key when Nicole turned her finger and the trunk popped open. Inside was a boy younger than her mom & dad, and most definitely John. Kathleen asked "What the Fuck is that?" Ayinde peered over at Nicole and said "John tells me this is the Lost Boy." She stared and said "Okay and explain" John laughed and said "So..." Telling them the story that occurred.
