Guess I'm Truly Not Sorry

Chapter Four

Autumn and Milo wall back to Autumn's apartment and stand by the door in silence.
"So...should I come in or not?" Milo asks. Autumn shrugs her shoulders and fiddled with her keys. She unlocked the door as Milo watched and then thanked Milo for walking her home once more.
"It's alright. I think I won't stay tonight but, here's my number so you can call me soon" Milo adds, giving Autumn a piece of paper. She holds in in her hand and then quickly kisses Milo on the cheek.
"Bye!" She quickly adds, runs back into her house and closes the door. Milo stands there in shocks, laughs, shouts bye and walks away.

Autumn releases a deep breath and then slaps her hand on her forehead. Her hand stays there and she shakes her head with disbelief.
"Why did I do that?" Autumn whispered to herself. She collapsed onto the couch and looks through pictures on her phone that she took tonight. A few moments later, Oscar comes out in just his underwear and into the kitchen. Autumn looks over at him as he rummages through the fridge, rolls her eyes and looks back at her phone. She tries to avoid any contact with him but when he walks past her, Oscar looks at Autumn and asks:

"You alright?". Autumn looks at him and nods his head.
"Okay. Well, if you need anything, just shout" he adds. Immediately after, he winks at her, goes back into Billie's bedroom and locks the door. Autumn then went to her bedroom, changed into her pyjamas, brushed her teeth and went straight to sleep, not thinking about what happened tonight.

The next morning...

15th June, 2018

Oscar was the first to wake up and it was about 9:50 am. He got himself some cereal and watched some TV. He made a lot of noise which woke up Autumn a few minutes later. She came out with her 'Friends' T-shirt and pyjama shorts and went to the kitchen to take some tablets for her headache and stomach pains.
"Morning" Oscar says with his mouthful.
"Morning" Autumn replies with a low voice.
"What's up with you?".
"My head hurts and I feel sick. I shouldn't have had those drinks last night".
"You'll be fine".

Autumn took her tablets and made herself some toast. She then came over to the couch and sat down a fair bit away from Oscar.
"Don't be sacred of me. I won't bite" said Oscar. Autumn gave him the side eye and continued to eat her food whilst watching 'Spy Kids 2' on the TV.
"Huh, that's funny" said Autumn. Oscar looked at her confused.
"What?" He asked.
"This is one of my all-time favourite movies".
"Same. I love this movie a lot".

Autumn and Oscar smiled at each other and carried on watching the movie.
"So what did you and Billie get up to last night?" Autumn asked. Oscar choked on his last spoonful of cereal and then put his empty bowl and spoon beside him.
"Sorry, I wasn't prepared for that. Um...well, not to be awkward but let's just say we hooked up".
"Ew! Gross!". Autumn threw a pillow at him and they both laughed. Then, out of nowhere, Billie wakes up holding her stomach in agony.

Autumn and Oscar turn their heads to Billie and watch her crawl her way to the sofa. She pulled herself up onto the sofa and laid down with her head in Oscar's lap.
"Hi Billie" Oscar said. She moaned and Autumn took one of her last bites of toast.
"What's the matter with you?" Autumn asked. Billie looks at Autumn without sitting up. She then closes her eyes and faces up to the ceiling.
"Can't you see I'm in pain? My stomach is killing me. Probably from all the alcohol I had last night" Billie replied.
"Probably" Oscar added.
"Well, I'm definitely not drinking alcohol for a while" said Billie.

Oscar got up, put his bowl and spoon into the sink and went to go and get dressed, leaving Billie and Autumn alone.
"Oscar said you two got up to some mischief last night. Was it fun?" Autumn asked, wiping her hands clean from the crumbs all over them.
"You could say that" Billie replies with a smile. They both laugh and Autumn thinks to herself for a moment.
"Billie".
"Yeah?".
"I'm sorry about how I acted last night".
"It's okay. I forgive you".
"Thanks". There was silence for a minute.

"I guess I'm sorry too" Billie added. Autumn smiled and rubbed Billie's leg. Oscar came out fully dressed and with his keys and phone in his hand.
"Billie, I'm gonna leave you but, thank you for last night and I'll speak to you in a bit" he said. Oscar gave her a kiss and a hug and out the door he went. Billie stretched out all across the sofa and Autumn saw how much pain she was in.
"Oh, Billie. Don't worry about moving or doing anything. I will be your assistant until you're all better" said Autumn. Billie smiles and gets comfy on the sofa.

Throughout the next week, Autumn got Billie food, drinks, medicine and any other things she wanted. Autumn thought it was a simple stomach bug but now, she was thinking it's more than that and stared to get worried. So, she called up Billie's doctor and got her an appointment for later that day.
"Billie, we need to get you dressed. You're going to Dr Fig" said Autumn.
"Okay" Billie replies as she struggled to sit up.
Half an hour later, Billie managed to get dressed decently and brush her teeth. She put her jumper hood up and walked down to the car with Autumn. They drove off and within s few minutes, they had gotten to the doctor's.
