Hyungwon waited impatiently for the knock on the door. It had been so long since it was just the two of them in a room alone. Hyungwon knew what he wanted to say. He organized his thoughts again and again in his head as he waited for the knock. Hope and anxiety battled in his head. He shouldn't have taken it all for granted. All Hyungwon wanted was to be able to say sorry, but he couldn't help but hope for more. He wanted to be able to laugh with the love of his life again, to see their beautiful smile, to hear their voice, and to be able to hold them in his arms again.

The knock finally came and it felt like it went right through his heart. Hyungwon's hand shook as he opened the door. A lump formed in his throat and everything he had planned to say disappeared from his mind. He looked into the beautiful eyes of his love for a second before he looked away. All of his hope vanished. A quiet apology escaped his mouth as he tried to collect his thoughts.

"I'm so sorry...for everything. I can't erase what I've done no matter how much I wish I could." Hyungwon fell to his knees in front of the one person he ever truly gave his heart to.
"I know you had such a hard time because of me. I treated you horribly, believing you wouldn't leave. I was so wrong. I was such an idiot. I should've treasured you every minute I had. Losing you was the biggest mistake I ever made. I know I don't deserve a second chance, but I want a chance to make it up to you." Hyungwon's heart pounded hard in his chest. He didn't dare look back up into those eyes just yet.

"Could we start all over? From zero?" His last request hung in the air as the silence enveloped them. It seemed like forever before he felt soft fingers gently under his chin, lifting his head up.

"From zero." Came the response.
