I recieved a text from remy, she told me that she wanted to meet me at the gym. As soon the class was dismissed I shot out of my seat like a bullet, racing through the halls. I collected everything from my locker, thankfully i packed everything into a neat box yesterday. With me and all my possestion safe and eager to escape, I saw remy leaning against a wall. We hugged and gossiped about our day, let me tell you the tea was glorious. Eventually my mom pulled up in her ford focus. We piled in the back kissing my mom on her cheek, once we were buckled mom took off towards the mall. She looked at us through the mirror breifly catching our eyes "How was school girls?" she asked taping her fingernails against the wheel to the soft beat in the background. "It was definitely a day to remember" I said looking out the window, "And what does that mean?" she asked turning down the music. "Well for one Mr.Grant was switching up all of a sudden and acting like he was just so proud and torn to peices about graduation, and he litterally hated us. For two, In Ms.Fox class tanner asked me to the after graduation party but before i could address the situation tina big headed self came pounding into the room. Snapping for no reason and tanner was acting like he was courting me or something, i set both of them straight, moved seats and kept it pushing" I said scowling. Mom busted out laughing " Wow you had a lot going on today, how about you remy?", remy shrugged giggling "No where near as crazy as hers, and thats saying something. Dont worry though girl because tomorrow night we can snatch little miss tina up by her root and drag that wanna be." she said dremonstrating in detail with her hands clentched. My mom gave both of us a sharp look when we high fived "There will be no "dragging" allowed tomorrow. Now, its time that we forget out day and let shopping releave our stress and dad gave me the credit card" She said smiling as we pulled up to the mall. We walking in arm in arm as mom started hunting, taking us from store to store. We walked around the lower level till we decided to take the stairs to the second floor. In the window of the first store we saw was a beautiful little dress that was perfect for remy, it was a cream lace skater dress that flowed out at the bottom to about an inch abover her knees with a pair cream lace heels. It was absolutely gorgeous on her when she tried it on and of course we got it. I would say this was a successful day of shopping, just what the doctor ordered.
........ We headed for the food court, quickly settling on chinese food. Once we all got our meals we sat down at one of the table, mom grabbed both of our hands looking us in the eye "GIrls I just want to say how proud I am of you. You both have faced som much these last years and being a mother to the both of you has been nothing but a blessing. Your friendship is worth more than gold, you are more than best friends, youre sisters. No matter how old you get, you will always be my little girls". I looked at mom with tears in my eyes, i was honestly so shocked that she broke down to tell us that. Shes always said she was proud but never like this, I was so worried about going away to college and leaving her behind but her confession put me at ease that by leabving and seeking my education i was making her more proud than she could ever be if i stayed, Remy got up leaning to kiss my mothers cheeks saying thank you, I thanked her to. Remy and my mom had a very special connection, one i have never been jealous of. I really considered remy my sister, when her mom died she took it really hard. She was only 15 when she passed, right when she needed her the most. My mom took her under her wing and ever since, remy has never been without a mother.
