Oh man, I'm so excited to start publishing this thing.
Known in my mind as Hero AU Version Two, Take Two Hero AU, and just Hero AU, this story means so much to me. Starting out as a pleasure project way back when I was in middle school, I dropped it and decided to rewrite it recently. It's admittedly not the fluffiest thing I've written, but it's certainly one I've had a lot of fun writing.
The original version focused on Sienna and while I can't say much because she's a very important character, I decided to switch perspectives at a certain point and write as if Nox/Solaris was the main character. The same events that took place in the original version will still happen in this one, but I personally believe that it'll be written better.
I feel as if this version is much different than the original, but at the same time a lot better. Focusing on my child Solaris, I get to explore his character development and growth a lot more. I changed a few of the dynamics and roles around and I'm super excited to see different reactions. I have the entire thing planned out from beginning to end and while some things were cut out and others added in, this is still the same story I've known for years and it has the same characters I've grown to adore. This story was the first writing Solaris ever appeared in, as well.
As for the content in this work, I'd like to take a moment to state that a few potentially triggering themes or topics that may appear. Unfortunately they contain major spoilers for the plot, though should you be concerned of anything I'll be more than willing to message you with warnings that will apply and which part they apply to. I have marked this as mature content for a reason. While there will be nothing sexually explicit, there are several topics that should not be taken lightly. Should a part have a potential trigger that does not spoil any content I will make sure to state it, although most triggering topics this contains reveal much about the plot that I'd rather not reveal until its time. Once again, if you are worried that a topic you may find triggering is in this story, let me know and I will make sure to let you know if it does or does not appear.
I doubt that updates will be frequent. As this is a pleasure project, I have no intentions of dropping it, although I personally feel no obligation to put my focus onto writing this. I tend to jump from project to project and occasionally I'll be more motivated to write one piece than I am another. I began to rewrite the first version of this story in November of 2018 and yet I only finished the first part a month later. Adding on school work, there is no way I can be sure that updates will be frequent in any way, shape, or form. This will simply update when it updates so please bear with me. If I feel as if it's been far too long since an update, I might fill in the gap with a short drabble or alternate universe scenario. Should those not work, I might give small previews of the next part. Please know that months will not go by without an update unless I completely forget that I have published this (and I'm afraid to say that it might very well happen since I use Wattpad on my laptop alone and don't get notified of anything here).
