Chapter 1 The Past

Everyone has a past; from amazing times of running around town with a guy you love to cussing him out through text while sobbing on the phone and listening to slow music outside at one in the morning.

Heart aches are a pain in the ass and when everyone proves you right over a guy you feel for is a bitch. Better yet when he real cute is a mtf.

I lay here looking through our pictures from over the past month or so and how we fell for each other so fast! It kills me to think about him but here I am the dumbass and just another girl for his book of past girls.

Jackson was my first real boyfriend. We ran around the town and went to the movies a lot because here in Springfield, there is nothing but movies bowling and walking around the courthouse publicly oh and can't forget Walmart.

Let me just tell you the story of the last week of our relationship.....

3 weeks prior..

I checked my phone to see Jackson messaged me.

Jackson- Hey did you wanna go out tmw?
Me- yea sure movies??
Jackson- yea sounds great
Me- what ab Beauty and the beast?!3:15
Jackson- yea works for me
Jackson- can't wait to see you baby😘
Me-me too boo❤️

Jackson and I talked all night and the next day he came and picked me up around two.

We drove around laughing and telling stories until we went and walked around the courthouse holding hands, laughing and enjoying each others company.

Everyone knows what happens at the movies wink wink ha, but when you get there really early that's the fun part. Then the snuggling beside each other in chairs with the uncomfortable arm rests with drink holders but making it work leaves you warm by the touch of your significant other.

I can't forget the drive home when we listen to slow love songs, and when he leans over and kisses me.

For the next couple days we meet up at my work and talk for a while and make out for the past little bit of our time together.

The next day we talk and everything is just as special as the rest. Jackson and I are head over heels for each other and then he tells me about his family having a movie night so we the understanding girlfriend I am I tell him to enjoy the time he has and we will talk tomorrow.

The next day he seems upset and he won't tell me anything and didn't wanna meet up. He was going to the oil field industry so he will be gone for two years and yea he will be back every now and then but I don't know anything.He knew prior to this that he was leaving for his job but he wanted to make this work.

He always talked about meeting my family and was excited to meet them. In addition to this he always wanted me to include him when we talked about the future no matter what it was.

Fast forward to that Monday with me for a second.

I finally got him to talk to me that night as I laid in my bed half asleep. He's upset about leaving but he KNEW HE KNEW he was leaving. And he called us really good friends plus wanted to try again in two years when he gets back.

Present time aka 3 weeks later..

"YES MACKENZIE YES! THATS WHAT I SAID HES FULL OF FUCKING SHIT!" I yell as my best friend Mackenzie grabs the bottle of wine and whiskey off the shelf.

We're at a liquor/ gas station store at the edge of town.

"Ehhh do you want a fuck your bullshit I'm single or a fuck you imma sob and eat ice cream oh yea we got ICE CREAAAMMM!" She smiles and looks at the wine and whiskey in her hands and the thing of ice cream in my hands.

"Yayyyyy and ooh fancyyy let's do..... wine because we're fancy bitches and whiskey after the bottle runs out because you damn well know I'll drink it all." I comment as she nods and we head to the checkout counter.

"Ooh give me one sec please?" Jordan nods and me and Mackenzie walk to the food isles.

"I get y'all went at it before in the past but come on Linley give him a chance!" She scolds me and giggles as at this point we start grabbing snacks off of the shelves.

We walk back to the counter as Jordan checks us out.

"How's your brother and them?" I ask as he smiles and groans.

"He's being the little shit as always. Got him a girl but he swears she's the one." I give a light laugh as we look at each other and I look over to Mack giving me a I told you bitchhh look😂.

"Ha well hope everything works out for y'all." I flirt as always as he hands me my receipt.

We say our goodbyes.

As we get in the car she looks at me and says,
"Dammmnnnn girl that was some crazy shit girl. Ooohhh girl!"

I sit there and laugh as we get in get in my truck. It doesn't take long to get to my apartment and we walk in and take everything out on the kitchen cabinet.

She grabs the wine and the wine glasses as I grab the whiskey, shot glasses, the big carton of chocolate ice cream, two spoons and head out of the kitchen to the couch where we will bench watch movies and tv shows until we fall asleep.

Mackenzie puts everything on the coffee table while I grab the fluffy blankets. We get comfortable on the couch and turn on the movies until we slowly drift into sleep.
