Honestly, when I walked into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry I never expected my life to take such a drastic turn.
Top of my class at beauxbatons and best friends with the most popular girl there was what contributed to me even going to Hogwarts.
The Triwizard tournament is what had changed my life, and even now I try not to think about that year.

Once we had gotten to Hogwarts I instantly huddled closer to my fellow students, as the Scottish wind was too cold for the thin beauxbaton uniforms.
Finally, we were let into the school and I ran my hands up and down my arms to warm up.
"This place is beautiful," Fleur whispered as the others were lined up.
"Do you think the food will be as good?" I couldn't help but ask, as the food was always my main concern.
"well, soon we shall find out." Fleur smiled at me then turned to Gabrielle, her younger sister, the fix her bangs. Then the doors opened and we began to strut into a large room that held the Hogwarts students.
I spun beside Fleur as Gabrielle did some acrobatics between the tables, and Fleur ended with a bow while I spun to the middle.
All eyes trailed to me as I opened my arms and two enchanting blue butterfly wings spread out behind me. At once they burst into small butterflies that flew out over the tables of Hogwarts.

Instantly there was applause and with a small bow, I moved to stand beside Fleur and Gabrielle.
Fleur gave me a small smile before we followed the others to a table we were going to be sharing with Hogwarts students.
As we sat the doors opened and Durmstrang boys and girls came in with large staffs and what I could only think to call huffing.
Then a boy with a large coat walked in and many students got to their feet exclaiming about Quidditch and Krum.
However, I was watching the Hogwarts headmaster as he stood at the front and began to talk after Durmstrang sat down "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, ghosts and —most particularly —guests, I have great pleasure in welcoming you all to Hogwarts. I hope and trust that your stay here will be both comfortable and enjoyable."
One of the Beauxbatons girls still clutching a muffler around her head gave what was unmistakably a derisive laugh. Instantly I turned to the girl and raised an eyebrow, and at the sight of me, Gila fell silent.
"The tournament will be officially opened at the end of the feast," said Dumbledore. "I now invite you all to eat, drink, and make yourselves at home!"
With a wave of his hand food seemed to appear out of thin air, and for once in my life, I felt mystified which only caused Gabrielle to giggle and push a plate my way.
I instantly started to put food on my plate but my favorite stew was nowhere to be seen.
"Does anyone have any bouillabaisse?" at the sound of my ringing voice, many of the men from beauxbaton began to search for my favorite food.
I blushed slightly and looked sheepishly at the girls who watched with a sigh.
"Violet I thought you said you weren't going to speak much here, you know how your voice effects them." Gila sighed as one of the boys looked under the table for the stew.
"Sorry...uh don't worry I'll find it." silently I got to my feet and looked down the table but it was not at the table with the blue ties but rather the one with red ties.
I gave a small smile to my group of friends before gliding over to the table with a group of redheads who all seemed to be family and a few other students.
As the stew was in front of a red-haired boy I gave a deep sigh and tried to reign in my veela control.
"Excuse me, are you wanting ze bouillabaisse?" at my broken English the table turned to me and at once the red-haired boy began to stare.
It took a second but then a boy with messy raven hair and green eyes pushed the plate closer to me.
"You 'ave finished wiz it?" I asked, not wanting to take the dish if they haven't had the chance to even eat it yet.
"Yeah...yeah, it was excellent." at the breathless red-haired boy's response I quickly picked it up.
But as I moved to go place the flood down I saw him, his messy red hair looked like he had just rolled out of bed.
He wore a red tie and was clearly popular by the group of people surrounding him.
But what stopped me wasn't anything but his eyes, they were trained on me just as I looked at him.
Never before had brown eyes looked so stunning, instead of a boring brown they were rich and as they looked at me I couldn't help but notice the sparkles of golden flakes.
However, it was the twinkle of mischief and promise of a great time that captured my attention.
As I looked at him I felt like the whole world had become nothing but background noise.
His stunned expression melted into a smile that I couldn't help but respond to in kind.
"Violet!" at the sound of my name I turned to my table and saw them watching me curiously.
With one last look and small smile at the curious red-headed boy, I quickly walked over to my table where everyone dug into the stew.
As everyone finished up with dessert the tables were cleared of plates and the headmaster of Hogwarts got to his feet.
"The time has come, The Triwizard Tournament is about to start. I would like to say a few words of explanation before we bring in the casket —" instantly the girls and guys began to chatter to one another, but at a pointed look from me fell silent once more.
As he spoke my attention was drawn to the red ties table, where a certain redhead had turned as well to meet my eyes.
I instantly blushed and smiled when he gave me a small chuckle in return.
But our attention was drawn back to the headmaster at his next words, "As you know, three champions compete in the tournament one from each of the participating schools. They will be marked on how well they perform each of the Tournament tasks and the champion with the highest total after task three will win the Triwizard Cup. The champions will be chosen by an impartial selector: the Goblet of Fire."
With those words, he tapped the casket with his wand and pulled out a wooden cup that was full of blue flames.
"Anybody wishing to submit themselves as champion must write their name and school clearly upon a slip of parchment and drop it into the goblet," said The Hogwarts headmaster, "Aspiring champions have twenty-four hours in which to put their names forward. Tomorrow night, Halloween, the goblet will return the names of the three it has judged most worthy to represent their schools. The goblet will be placed in the entrance hall tonight, where it will be freely accessible to all those wishing to compete."
Instantly I turned to the table of beauxbaton students, who looked to both me and Fleur, "Tomorrow we will all come as one, show that we will support one another through this event. It does not look like this school is as one like we are."
As I spoke the girls and boys gave nods of understanding, even Fleur who smiled in excitement at the idea of putting our names into the goblet.
"Now, I think it is time for bed. Good night to you all." at this I got to my feet and smiled when the rest of the table did the same.
As we started over to Madame Maxime I couldn't help but look over to the red tie table but did not see my mystery red-headed boy from earlier.
