Chapter 29

Am went to check on Erica, who looked rather ticked off. All four of her Vulpix tails were lashing with anger. Erica turned around and faced her, giving her sister a reality check.

"Am," Erica scolded, "Back in that forest, that was really rude!"

Am's eyes were wide with shock.

"I'm an adult now and I make my own decisions!" Erica growled, "So please don't butt in my business!"

The Vulpix girl stormed outside.

"Rude.." Mya hissed.

Am knew she was being a bit rude.

"What did you say to make Erica mad?" Mya asked.

"Guess she'd gave me the cold shoulder..." Am sighed.

"Yeah," Lora retorted, "You should know that Erica is an adult now, let her have her fun."

"I guess, but I still worry about her," Am added, "I sure hope Edward doesn't-"

Lora shook her head with doubt.

"Am, you have to understand that your sister needs to live her own life. I heard you from that forest and I agree with Mya. That was rude."

"I was teasing her," Am sighed.

"That doesn't matter," Lora scolded.

Am's eyes were still wide with shock, remembering what Erica told her. Her heart felt like a piece of her shattered. The Pichu girl ran away crying out the door.

"Sheesh Lora," Ivy growled, "You could of been more sentimental."

"I'm only speaking the facts," Lora huffed, "Am shouldn't of teased Erica like that."

Ivy growled in frustration.

"You adults are all the same!" she snarled, "Am is my friend, and I can't believe you would upset her like that!"

Mya never felt horrified by Lora's tone and watched Ivy go after Am. She stayed away from Lora for the rest of the afternoon.

"Stupid Lora..." Mya growled, "Why would she be this harsh on Am?"

"You just too young to understand," Cleo answered following her, "Lora is right. Grown-ups make their own decisions. Erica had to say that to Am, giving her a reality check."

"Lora didn't have to make Am cry," Mya sighed, "Why is Erica being like that?"

"Am did share something with me," Cleo answered, "She's in love with Edward and I wouldn't be in her business like Am was."

Mya knew that Ivy was speaking for Am on her behalf. She felt a little sad, feeling Am's sorrow surging inside her. She cried and Cleo hugged her close comforting her.

"I'm sure your sister will be fine," the Jolteon girl cued.

Mya felt her friend's comforting words and hoped Am will be okay, despite Am's sorrow still making her anxious.

Erica and Edward curled up together on the couch later that same afternoon. Erica remembered Am's promise not to get crazy with the wine again. She can only smell Edward's scent.

'Come on Glenda...' she thought, 'I want to live my life and Linda is looking after Am and Mya now...'

Glenda's voice was flowing into her Vulpix ears.

'Erica, you need to be more careful what you do,' she said, 'You did get a little drunk over two shots of wine. Hee hee, funny.'

Erica growled a little softly.
