(Jacob's pov)

Black Arrow dashed over an alleyway as he ran across the rooftops of Hell's Kitchen, New York. He had gotten a tip on a drug deal going on tonight so he went to investigate. It went off without a hitch and now he heading back home, "I need to catchup on some sleep."

"Sir...Mr Reeves are you ok sir?" Jacob Reeves skidded to a halt and put his finger to his wrist communicator, "I'm heading back Clinton, I'll see you in the lobby."

"Right you are sir."

Jacob soon reached a sterling high rise skyscraper that read REEVES INC. on the side in light blue neon outlines. "Home sweet home."

Upon entering the buildings lobby he was greeted by a young woman who looked to still be in high school, and an older, balding, looking gentleman in a pin strip suit, "You know a normal teenage billionaire would be spending his nights in bed with a bunch of whores, not shooting at people with a bow and arrow." The girl walked up to Jacob and gave him a hug, "How are you holding up?" Jakob smiled and ruffled her short pixie hair, "You know usually it's the older brother who asks that question to the younger sister."

"Whatever you say dude, I'm gonna go binge watch something on Netflix." Jacob pulled back his hood and took off his mask revealing a pair of deep brown almost red eyes "Emma don't you have school tomorrow?"

Emma turned around and began walking backwards holding her hands up, "And your point is what exactly?"

Jacob shook his head laughing to himself. He turned to the older man who gave him a curt nod, "Mr Reeves I trust your night went well?"

"We'll find out tomorrow morning on the news." Clinton smiled, "Of course sir, I would like to inform you of some new upgrades we come across for the body armor of your suit." Jacob waved his hand dismissively as he walked across the lobby towards the private elevator, "Why mess with perfection Clinton. The suits just fine, just put the upgrade data on my private server."

This earned a sigh from the older man, "Of course sir." Once inside the elevator Jacob pressed the button that would take him to his top floor penthouse in which he and his sister Emma lived in.

The elevator came to a stop with a soft ding and the doors open up to reveal a lavish interior room.

Jacob walked in and entered the interior kitchenette and poured himself a glass of wine. With the wine in hand he walked over to the already lit fireplace and stared up at the family portrait of him, a newborn Emma, and his mother and father, all standing there smiling for the camera. They had chosen a casual type of picture and they almost looked like a normal regular family.

But they weren't normal or regular, at least not anymore. Not after the accident.

(FLASHBACK)
15 years ago a seven year old Jacob was walking out of a movie theater with his parents, they both held his hands as the three of them walked down the sidewalk heading home. "Best birthday ever." Proclaimed the young lad. "Well just you wait son cause it's about to get a whole lot better." His dad said, giving his son a reassuring squeeze.
