There is one thing I hate most in the world and that is being woken up early. And who else would be willing to get on my nerves other than Mel? I groan, rolling over her and getting of out of bed, it wasn't until I shake the wave of sleepiness off of me until I realize what's going on. The room is exploding with chaos. My brother isn't difficult to find against the short bodies huddled in the room. He stands next to Cal, his blond hair still ruffled from probably some of the worst sleep in his life. Fin wears his prison uniform just like the rest of us, but his tall form and blond hair making him stand out sharply despite all the familiar people surrounding him. I watch as Fin interrupts Adara, and Nix's arguing, I watch as his lightheartedness turns into annoyance. Though Fin doesn't show his age, he is still a teenager, barely more than a child, a year younger than I am. Still, he knows how to use his appearance for his advantage. Our kingdom loves my brother, he reminds them of my father. The late king play to the public's own assumptions well, it works on our country, the people spoon fed his lies and painted on innocence. People outside my father's court lapped up the tales of his war stories, though he has never fought a day in his life. Just a delicious story for people to latch onto paired the starting a war we didn't need, it made my father so much more appealing. I sit and watch my brother from afar, he sounds just like him, it disgusts me. Our father may have been a liar and crook but I love him. He does care that I am not a perfect princess. He loves his little warrior and basically made me who I am. Just seeing Fin taking on his worse traits makes my stomach turn. Adara holds her head high as she walks past Nix, shoving her shoulder against the short, raven-haired woman. I scoff.
"Okay, now I've had enough." Nix grabs Adara by the hair and pulls hard, she lets out a scream. When I see Adara turn around and hit Nix hard against her right temple I chuckle softly, but only to myself. Nix lets go of Adara's hair stumbling backward and hitting the wall. Adara walks up to Nix and grabs her by her hair, throwing her onto the floor. Adara smirks and wraps her hands around the girl's neck. Nix lets out a strangulated scream as Adara presses her thumbs into her carotid arteries. Protest echo around the room but no one is willing to stop her. Adara does murder in her eyes, and it wasn't long before Nix is going to stop being a problem. Do something, Alana, Porcia will find some sort of way to blame this on us. I'm won't be letting her death cause an even bigger problem for me.
by now everyone has woken up and is screaming at Adara for her to stop. Except for Nari and Vita, who are just silently watching, trying not to be involved. God, I wish it is that easy. Once Nix's face starts to turn blue I huff, taking my time walking to the two fighting women.
"alright, that is enough" I grab Adara by her shoulders and pulled her up. The amber eye woman shrugs me off with violent force, she starts storming at Nix once more but a strong gust of the wind knocking her over, along with Nix, who is fuming.
"What the hell was that for?
"you're both being childish. It needs to end, or we can't stop them and our kingdoms will fall to ruin. " Nari bellows in anger and Vita stares us down with vigor. I keep an eye on Nix as she starts to lunge towards the grey eye boy. I knew she wasn't going to make it off the wall. I'm surprised that she even stands up. Watch as Nix's let's go and immediately start falling. Movement on my left side catches my eye, Fin rushes to her aid, catching her a few inches above the ground. Nix's body dips, moving toward the floor in a slow arch that makes her yelp. Fin's arms close around her, pulling her back up in seconds.
"Woah okay. Maybe you should sit down. " they laugh together as I watch my brother pick her up bridal style, carrying her to my bed. Her blue eyes bulge from her face, watching him in astonishment. Fin's touch is gentle, something I usually don't see unless he's dealing with Mel, I rarely see that treatment. After setting her down gently on the bed, we walk over to the group now forming in front of the door, the room is dead silent. Adara waddles in, pushing a big cart in front of her, each platter has our names scrawled hurry onto the lid of the plates. I go to talk to my brother. I wanted to know what he thinks he is doing. When Fin starts walking away from me is when I begin to silently fume. He chuckles about something I do not know and grabs his plate, looking back at Nix he sighs and grabs hers as well. I turn my head to look at Nix, her breathing look shallow and her eyes look wide and glossy, I watch as he makes his way over to the little raven-haired girl. Handing her food she looks up at my brother and smiles. My skin boils, angering me to the point where I can not move, I have to wait for my brother to make his way over here for me to even do anything about it.
