Aster cursed, hands tensing over the wheel of his spacecraft as he narrowly avoided the lasers that zipped by him and into the endless emptiness that is space. His crew had all been sent to the lower deck to make sure all systems would stay online, for if one to fail, it could mean the end of everyone on board. Yet his crew knew the dangers they faced, for they all too were in the same boat as he.
Glancing back to where the bar code sat on his wrist, he felt the tingling sensation that was always there, just easy to overlook seeing as how long he had it there. Shaking himself out of his thoughts, he managed to dive down just as another laser came flying overhead. Growling out his annoyance at the pests behind him, he ducked and dived, jostling around in his seat as the ship flew through the openness. If it weren't for the Fray that were following him, he might've been able to enjoy the sights around him, he always loved piloting.
A loud bang followed by sirens had him cursing under his breath, hands gripping the wheel even tighter as he scanned his surroundings. Pressing a button on the control board, he scanned the surrounding area for habitable planets in hopes of making a quick stop there. If only he could lose the guys on his tail. It was kind of hard to do that when there wasn't anything to draw their attention away though.
As if a light bulb went off, he flicked a switch and pressed a few more buttons on the panel before a large amount of flares and missiles came barreling out of the ship, heading towards the ships chasing after them. A few blew up in the explosion but the distraction was enough for him to zip out of sight and into the atmosphere of a breathable planet. Calling to ground control to request for landing, he let the ship guide him down as he got up from his seat and stretched his sore limbs. Being tucked up in that chair for a few hours could really drive a guy insane.
As if his day could go that well. Before he had a chance to brace himself, the ship shook. More sirens went off and he could hear the screeching of bending metal as the hull was torn away. He cursed once more before he was sucked out of the ship and found himself plummeting multiple miles down to solid ground. A scream lodged itself in his throat as he fought with his suit to deploy a chute, watching with teary eyes as the ground got closer. Nothing popped out when he pulled a pin, and he really did scream as he plummeted to what he assumed would be a really painful death.
A pair of arms wrapped around his feet and all of a sudden his decent was slowed. Craning his neck to look up to see who it was, he almost cried at the sight of Darren, with his arms still securely wrapped around his legs as he deployed his parachute. The male was rather light skinned, with the build of a bear. The guy was a powerhouse. His dark hair contrasted nicely against his skin and his light eyes popped out from behind the black bangs that hid most of his face from view. Well not now as they were still falling from the sky, along with the entire crew as broken pieces of ship fell around them.
Blowing the male a kiss, he got an eye roll in response and a threat to let him go if the loosening of the hands around his ankles were anything to go by, he suffered the rather long trip to the ground where many of people were staring up into the sky to see flaming metal and people slowly drifting downwards. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to land in the middle of the landing bay, but they couldn't really go anywhere else without drawing more attention, not like they were doing a good job at being stealthy now.
When their feet touched the ground, soldiers popped up out of nowhere and grabbed them from behind, hauling the two friends apart before they could so much as catch their breaths.
"Aster Barron and Darren Weide you are under arrest for crimes committed against the Fray and the Guard, you will be coming with us." Before the two males could cuff the two who were fighting against the hold of the males keeping them steady, an explosion was set off a few feet away, blowing all of them a few good feet away.
