Today is our last counseling session and I couldn't be happier, and after several weeks of heated arguments we're finally at a place where we are both confident in what our relationship could be. Also perfect timing, a week before New York fashion week. "You excited?"jalen laughed watching me dance around the kitchen. "Hell yeah."I cheesed. "We came a long way."he nodded. "Mhhm. We did good too even though you almost lost your life a few times."I laughed. "Hush and go get in the car."He shooed me off.
"Good morning."Kyle greeted us at the door. "Heyyyy." I smiled shaking his hand. "How are we doing today."he laughed sitting in his chair. "We're great."jalen nodded grabbing my hand. "As I can see y'all are aware this is the last session after a long month you guys have showed a tremendous amount of growth I couldn't be more sure that y'all are ready to do this on your own. Today I want to know where you guys stand with each other."he smiled. "We're in a great place right now I've been trusting him a lot more but nothing is official."I explained. "This experience was good for us having you as a mediator to talk through all our past problems and just lay everything out in the open so we can start brand new is exactly what we needed. I think where we messed up in the past is that we moved so damn fast. And we were young and stupid."jalen nodded. "Good to hear. The easy part of these sessions are over with. The hard part is doing it without me mediating every argument. With that being said I have a lot of hope for this relationship and from what I've learned about the both of you is that you guys are made for each other and just needed to grow up a little."he laughed. "Before the end of this session I need to ask a few questions."Kyle informed taking out his note pad. "Have you guys discussed with your son that mommy and daddy are going to be together. Because change like this could confuse him?"he asked. "No we planned on telling him today when we pick him up from my moms house."jalen said. "Are yall active?"Kyle nodded under the impression we knew what he meant. "Not exactly but I'm completely fine with it."jalen said. It's not intentional but when it happens it'll happen. I can say we have gotten close to it. "Thats perfectly ok. I asked that because I needed to know that sexual feelings aren't replacing actual feelings so. With that being said, congratulations you've completed all your sessions."he closed his notes and stood up. "Thank you so much again."He shook our hands. ***
On the way to pick up nyx jalen and I had a lot to say. It was nice to be back on cloud nine with him. "How are we celebrating tonight?"jalen leaned over and kissed my cheek. "I don't know? Nothing too time consuming"i shrugged. "I was thinking we could stay in."he smirked. "As good as that sounds tonight is definitely not the night. I have to get up extremely early and do rehearsals for next week."I said.

"Right. I keep forgetting. We can celebrate another day then."he shrugged. "You can still come over and we can all hangout have a movie night."I suggested. "That actually sounds perfect." He smiled at the idea. I've loved being together as a family its a lot easier to have both parents to parent nyx and I can tell nyx has been enjoying it too.
