Chapter 23

Beck's pov

She had to be on the phone with Taylor.

The ringtone

Her smiling.

It's so obvious. I'm not going to hide it.

I. Am. Envious.

"Guys do you want to go to the park?" she asked us.

"sure white girl ." said Andre.

"Latino! Get that through your head" she said knocking on Andre's hard head.

Cat and I started laughing.

"Beck I'll ride with you, and cat can ride with Andre." she told us.

"Why can't we all ride in my car?" I asked her. Yeah I was giving up the chance of being alone with her but if I was alone with her I would probably embarrass myself knowing my luck.

"Because you guys are going to clear out after we come from the park. " she told us.

"so we can't sleep over again? " asked cat.

"nope I gotta have some ME time and Trina's staying over today. now let's head to the park" she said circling her arms around so they finally land on the door.

We were all in our cars and the irony is I'm still alone with Tori.

-_- well that's just SWELL.

The park was about a 10 minute walk so about a 6 minute drive.

I kept sneaking in side glances to see Tori writing in a Tan shimmering journal with a brown fringe Hanging from the middle of the book,.and her headphones were in.

"Watcha doin? " I asked her.

No response.

I cleared my throat and tried again.

"Watcha doin? " I repeated.

Still no answer.

let's try again.

"Watcha do-

"I heard you the first two times I was just wondering were you going to get the hint.?" she said laughing.

"what hint.?" I asked her.

"The hint that states when headphones are placed in ear sockets no one talks to Tori." she said slowly while smiling with her eyes scrunched up at me.

I snickered.

"so......... my question still wasn't answered. " I said finally spotting the green park.

Why is it called the green park you ask. (Even if you didn't ask I'm still telling you.)

EVERYTHING was green.

Slides, monkey bars, swings, candy, slurpies, water (artificial of course )., you name it and it was green.

They even made the sidewalk green.

"And what question might that be.? " She said rolling up her headphones and placing everything into her purse.

"What were you ju-

*crunch.

"What are you eating? " I asked her while pulling up into a parking spot.

"acwutych bwaetr." she replied.

"swallow. " i told her.

I heard a gulp and she looked at me right in the eye and said a crunch bar.

Tori's pov.

Okay NO ONE understands Beck's loving for crunch bars.

(To be honest they're not even that great but to him he sees otherwise. )

As soon as I heard the car engine go dead I tried to open the passenger door to make a run for it but Beck pushed the drivers side button which made me powerless.

-_- WAY too much power for the driver .

He started talking or shall I say rambling.

"you had a crunch bar and didn't tell me?!? How much of it is gone? How did it taste? If it was the best one ever I wouldn't know. You wanna know why. because you didn't share !"

Good God was he EVER going to shut-up. I still had a quarter of the bar left. He could just ask if he wanted it so badly. I mean really he's yapping on about candy! He kept talking.

"If I had something you loved I would share with y- "

I cut him off by stuffing the crunch bar in his mouth.

"Now will you open the door.?" I asked him showing off my innocent eyes.

"yutsierwill" he uttered while unlocking the door.

I climed out and ran away from the car hoping they wouldn't find out Taylor's going to be with me.

Beck's pov

I watched her run out of the car and disappear somewhere.

Weird girl.

I got out of the car swallowing my crunch bar and closing the door. I saw Andre and cat coming towards me.

"Where's Tori? " asked cat.

"I don't know she ran off (Andre sure is staring at cat) when I unlocked the do- (okay now he's definitely looking at her I need to talk to him. #need a distraction)

Hey cat your outfit matches the park " I said smiling.

She gasped and started running away screaming green water leaving me with just Andre.
