Rogues (Ch 2.)

Katelynn woke up to the sounds of birds chirping, and the insects buzzing around her ears. Slowly she rises to her paws, and stretches before shaking her pelt. 'Good morning Katelynn' Sky yawns inside Katelynns head. "Good morning." She replys, and she too yawns before padding out of the small cave she had found.

Katelynn sighs, "What do you suppose we do today, Sky?" She asks giving Sky a moment to ponder the question.

'Well hunt obviously, then train ourselves a bit just in case we happened to be attacked.' Sky finally answers, and Katelynn quickly agrees with her friend.

"Here I'll let you take control for a bit since you haven't been out in a while." Katelynn offers.

'Oh thank you Katelynn, your the best!'
Sky yips happily before taking control.

Katelynn laughs, and rolls her eyes, "I know." She replys, and she watches from Sky's point of view as she stalks a brown hare. Quietly Sky stalks it, and right when she was close enough, Sky pounces. The hare screeched in fear but before it could escape she had already killed it.

Hungrily Sky ate some before giving Katelynn back control. "Mmm, yeah that hit the spot." Katelynn groans happily.

'I'll say.' Sky puts in before Katelynn heads back to the den. As she does so she perks up her ears. "What the?" Katelynn whispers as she hides in a brush near her den. There stood three rogues, you could tell they weren't pack wolves from the stench, and blood shot eyes, that their wolves had taken over them a long time ago.

'Lets get out of here before they spot us!' Sky said quickly, and Katelynn does so, not wanting to have to deal with rogues since she's still building up her strength. Once Katelynn had gotten farther away she relaxes, and checks her surroundings before taking a little break.

"That was super close." Katelynn sighs, and in response Sky yawns. 'I'm going to take a little nap.' She says before Katelynn felt that her wolf had fallen asleep in her head. "Sweet dreams Sky." She responds making sure to check the wind, and her surroundings from time to time.

After awhile Katelynn gets up again, and begins to look for a new den making sure she very well stayed clear of pack territory. "Maybe I should look for my pack." Katelynn thought to herself. Would they take her back? Probably not. Oh Moon Goddess why must have I been so stupid, she thought sadly.

Suddenly a low growl interrupts Katelynns thoughts, abrubtly awaking Sky. 'Rogues!' She snarls as three familiar wolves jump out of hiding. 'Run Katelynn, run!' Sky howls, and Katelynn didn't have to be told twice as she whips around, and bolts with the three rogues following behind her by a tail length.

"Dammit! I was being so careful too!" Katelynn growls. 'Doesn't matter right now! Focus on escaping!' Sky snaps, and Katelynn could hear the fear laced in her voice. Katelynn picks up the pace making the rogues snarl in frustration as they struggle behind.

Katelynn cringes as she scents she passed over a packs border, and to make matters worse, she trips over a root studding out of the ground. But as quickly as she fell she jumps back up, but she was already surrounded by the three rogues. "We have no choice but to fight, Sky." Katelynn says. "I'm sorry I wasn't the best, you could have had better than me." Katelynn apoligizes before the rogues lunge at her.

'I do not ever want to hear you say that to me again Kateylnn! You are the best, and I'm glad the Moon Goddess chose me to be your wolf.' Sky responds as Katelynn bites one of the legs of the rogues. They howl in pain before snapping their jaws back at Katelynn who quickly dodges in time.

"Thanks Sky, I love you." Katelynn responds. 'I love you too Katelynn.' Sky replys as they fight the rogues. Quickly Katelynn was tiring, three to one wasn't exactly an even match but there was no way Katelynn was dying today. There's still so much left for her to see, and do.

One of the rogues slash their claws down the back of her leg, and she winces in pain before slashing her claws at their muzzle. Another rogue came, and bites her shoulder making her howl in pain, and quickly she returns the favor. But then they all jump at her simultaneously, and Katelynn couldn't move as one has their jaws attached to her left leg, the other one with her front right paw, and the last one, has their jaws clamped to the back of her kneck.

Slowly Katelynn was becoming weaker, maybe she didn't have a choice. Maybe this was the end of her. No, no it's not! She's been kidnapped, abused, starved, and Katelynn was not going to go out like this! A surge of new strength errupts into Kateylnns vains. It was her alpha blood coming back. She thought she had lost it long time ago. Apparently not.

"ENOUGH!!" Katelynn roars, and all the rogues fell at the power of her booming alpha voice. Quickly she takes advantage, picking one of the rogues easily up by the scruff before throwing them at another one that had recovered. While those two were occupied, Katelynn attacks the last one who's eyes widen in shock. As she tears the throat out of the rogue, the other two attack her. One of them slashes their claws deep into her side while the other one jumps on her making Katelynn fall, and get pinned down.

The rogue draws their claws over the soft part of Katelynns belly, and angrily she relaxes her back legs before lunging upward making the rogue fall back, and now she was the one pinning them down. Katelynn didn't think twice before she tears the throat out of that rogue too before she turns to the only one left. The rogue gave one look at his dead rogue mates, and at Katelynn before turning around, and fleeing the area.

"Yeah you better run coward!" Kateynn howles before collapsing, and a sudden darkness consumes her as she passes out from to much blood loss.
