Chapter 4; Jealousy?

He was kissing maybe his girlfriend and my heart told me that it was not that happy. I mean, Ashton's not my boyfriend or anything but, I still really care about him.

He's a really nice guy and i'm sure that by the end of this month he's gonna end up heartbroken by that girl. I ran back to my house which was just a few steps away from the tree they hade their make out session is.

"Hey honey! How was the park?" My mom asked me. I just didn't know what to say. Umm... Patricia! That's it! "Well, I met one of my friends' girlfriend." I replied.

"Oh! So you finally made friends!" She joked. I actually knew it was true since my only realy friends are Erica and James.

"Yes mom, I made friends," I said. I looked at the clock and realized that it was already 10:00 which is my bedtime. I know, i'm a 17 year old girl and my bedtime is 10 but mom's really my life ruiner.

I just don't understand why dad can help us. If I should even call him that. He left us when I was 2. I didn't remember how he looked like, but I would always remember his golden smile.

"Goodnight mom!" I told her as I went to my room. I was really tired and everything but I just couldn't stop thinking of Ashton. And how he kissed her. Was it cause I wanted to be the one he was kissing? No, no. I'm probably just overthinking it. Now, I need to sleep.

The next day was Monday, one of the most horribble days of the week. I took a bath and got dressed. I was wearing shorts and a tank top.

I usually ate before I left, but it was already 6:50 and I was gonna be late. James and Erica were waiting for me outside. I said bye to my mom and brother then went to my friends.

"Hey guys!" I said to Erica and James. "Hey Ashley." They both said at the same time. We walked to school, which was just a 5 minute walk. I couldn't help but think about Ashton. And his girlfriend. And how they were kissing. It just bothered me so much.

"Um, Ashley? You there?" Erica asked me.

"Oh um yeah I was just thinking." I replied.

"Well you better stop thinking or we're gonna be late." She said, pointing at the bell that was ringing.

I ran to my first class, homeroom. Our teacher announced some stuff I really didn't care about. Not until she mentioned that there was a whole day where we had to 'bond' with our dads.

Shit.

How the hell am I supposed to bond with my dad when I don't even have one? Sir Cruz finally finished our class and I wemt straight to English with Erica.

"Did you hear about the bonding with our dads thingy?" She asked me.

"Ugh yeah I did. It sucks." I replied.

"It's okay Ashley, you can do this." Erica said. I'm not sure what she meant by that but it sure is helping me. Our teacher went into the room and greeted us. I looked around and I saw... Ashton? What is he doing in my English class? He was beside that girl he was kissing, whatever her name was.

We just kinda speeded up to lunch and I sat in our usual table with James and Erica. "What are you doing Friday?" Erica asked me out of no where. "Nothing. Why?" I asked back. "We should totally go shopping." She's such a girly-girl but that's what I like about her.

"Sure! I'll just ask my mom later." I said as James stood up. "Hey!" I said. "Where are ya going?" I asked James. "You two are being the girls that you are and I just need guy friends." He replied. James was right. He needed new guy friends since he always gung out with me and Erica.

"I have to do a project. See you later okay?" Erica asked me. "Okay." I said, refering to The Fault In Our Stars. I went to the open feild and I saw Ashton along with Calum, Patricia, Michael, Michael's girlfriend I think, Ashton's girlfriend, and then there was Luke being the 7th wheel. I went up to them and said hi.

"Ashley! I want you to meet my girlfriend, Chloie." Michael said while he showed me Chloie. "Hi!" I said. "I'm Ashley." She shaked my hand and said,

"I'm Chloie." She looked really beautiful, unlike me. Ashton went up to me. I guess i'm gonna meet his girlfriend now.

"Oh, hi Ashley." Ashton said. "This is my beautiful girlfriend, Tiffany." He introduced me to her. "My name's Ashley." I said to her. "I'm Tiffany." She said with this weird look on her face. Was that supposed to mean something? Eh whatever.

"I feel so bad I don't have a girlfriend to introduce you to." Luke said grabbing me from behind. "Aw, it's okay Luke you don't need a girlfriend. You always have me, right?" I asked. I'm not sure what I just said bit it made Luke happy.

"Yeah you're right, I don't need a girlfriend to introduce to you cause you are my girlfriend." He joked. We all sat beside the tree and I was between Chloie and Luke while Luke wrapped his arms around me.

"Ashley, what's up wth you and Luke?" Chloie whispered to me. "Honestly, I don't know." I replied. Did I actually have feelings for Luke? Does he have feelings for me? Those questions kept running through my head all day.
