Ross' POV
"Dr. Amber!" I yelled.
She came rushing in a few seconds later. "What?"
"She talked! And she squeezed my hand!" I said excitedly.
"That's great, does she have any memory loss?" She asked.
"No I don't think so," I answered.
Ash's POV
"Hi Ash, are you feeling okay?" Dr. Amber asked.
"Yah, my joints are just a little stiff, and I have a headache, but other then that, I'm fine," I said smiled.
"Once you get up and moving the joint pain will go away, and the reason for your headache, is you smashed your head off a rock, and got a concussion," She said.
"Oh, that explains a lot, also, when can I leave?" I asked.
"Probably tomorrow, but when you do go back home, you'll have to take it easy until your concussion goes away," She said.
"Okay."
*3 days later*
"Hey Ash," Riker said sitting on the couch next to me.
"Hey Rik," I said using the same tone.
"Haha, very funny, but anyways, nobody is home, so wanna go to Starbucks or something?" He asked.
"Okay, whoever gets to the car last doesn't have to pay!" I yelled running towards the car.
"Not so fast missy," he said flinging me over his shoulder.
"Oh my goodness gracious, what is it with you people and flinging me over your shoulder for crying out loud!" I yelled pounding on his back.
"I guess it's kinda our thing."
"Oh really now?"
"Yup, and if I mind saying I reached the car first, therefore you better go grab your wallet," Riker chuckled.
"Ughh," I moaned trudging back to the house.
"No Im just joking, Ill pay for it!" He called back to me.
"Good, cause I didn't have any money anyways," I said.
"You are a lucky duck," He replied.
"I don't really like ducks, how about a hamster?" I answered.
"Fine, missy, you're a lucky hamster," he chuckled.
*At Starbucks*
"After all that running, I need some caffeine," I said wiping the 'sweat' off my forehead.
"What are you talking about? I'm the one that carried you to the car!" He answered.
"Mhm, you keep believing that," I said.
We walked and, saw Ross sitting at a table by himself.
"Hey Rossy," I said sliding in next to him.
"Heyy, what're you doing here?" He asked scratching the back of his neck.
He put something into a bag, and shoved it under the table.
Weird child.
"Um, isn't it obvious? Getting some coffee, I just beat Riker in a race, and boy do I need some caffeine," I answered.
"Actually, I carried her throughout that race, and Im the one that needs caffeine," Riker said sitting across from us.
"By the way, I ordered you a caramel frappe," he said.
"My favorite," I smiled.
"Really? I just took a guess, I mean, I totally knew that!" He said straightening his tie.
I giggled.
"Riker! Ash! You're coffee's are ready!" Said a pretty lady behind the counter.
"Ill be right there!" Riker said, not taking his eyes off of her.
"Looks like somebody has a crush!" I said, wiggling my eyebrows.
"He sure does," answered Ross, slurping his coffee.
A few minutes later the girl came over and sat next to Riker.
"We'll give you guys some uhh, alone time," I said, "Me and Ross will walk home."
"We will?"
"Yes," I said giving him the look, "we will."
He nodded, finally understanding.
We threw our coffee's away, and started our walk home.
I wouldn't have said, we'd walk home if I remembered we lived 3 miles away.
Oh well.
Ross turned on his MP3 and She Will Be Loved by Maroon Five started playing.
That's one of my favorite songs, so I started singing along to it.
"And she will be loved, and she will, be loved," I sang.
Ross stopped walking, and I turned around.
His jaw dropped to the ground.
Not literally but you know what I mean.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Since when can you sing?!" He asked.
"Umm always," I answered raising my eyebrows.
"Really?"
"Umm yeah," I said.
"Wow, you're voice is great," he said smiling.
"Yeah, but what use is it? I mean, I'm not a singer, or anything," I said.
"Well, it's one more reason to do this," he said crashing his lips on to mine.
