Note from the author:

Hi there, it's me, Cole, here again with another story, but this time it's not going to be a short one. I don't know, this just kind of popped into my head, so I just went with it. I hope you enjoy reading, and remember to leave some comments and give your feedback. Also, don't forget to turn that grey star gold! Oh, these chapters ARE NOT edited, but will be once the book is completed; if you see any errors in grammar or sentence structure, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE UP YOUR TIME TO POINT IT OUT IN THE COMMENTS because I will review it later. Thank you.

chapter ONE

Their eyes were glued on me, and I could hear whispers from behind me. Where was I? I kept walking. My feet wore sore. I looked down and saw that I had no shoes on. Where were my shoes? I looked around and everything looked so technicolored. There was a buzzing sound and it made my ears hurt. I cringed and shut my eyes tight as it got louder, and louder.

"GET OUTTA THE WAY!" someone yelled. I turned around and was blinded by a bright light, then everything faded to black.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
I slowly came to, and I found myself staring at a clean, white ceiling. The beeping sound of what seemed like a monitor ringed, and voices were heard, getting closer with each beep.

"Yes, she's fine, but she has a mild concusion which you should take care of," I heard the muffled voice of someone say. The other voice sounded protesting, and the door swung open. There stood two males, one with a white coat and the other in a plaid shirt and dingy blue jeans. He looked slightly uncomfortable, as she shuffled his feet and kept pushing his hands in his pocket, then taking them out and repeat.

"How are you feeling?" The man in the white coat asked, smiling broadly as he walked towards me. I opened my mouth to speak, but I made no sound. The man raised his brow and turned towards the other, who just shrugged.

"My name is doctor Connor," he said. Once again, I tried to speak, but I felt stuck.

"Can she speak?" the doctor asked. The other man shrugged. "I told you, I don't know her. I just accidentally hit her with my truck," he explained.

"Hm, do you have any family?" he directed to me. I shook my head. Actually, I don't remember if I had any. I don't remember anything except for walking down the street this morning. The doctor smiled at me, then got up and went over towards the other man. They spoke in a hushed voice, but my ears were supersensative at the moment, and I heard some of what they were saying.

"Andy, you weren't drinking and driving again, were you?" The doctor asked, calling him by his name. Andy seemed like a nice name; I wondered if it was short for anything, or was it just Andy.
