"Why am I here?" I asked the shining globe in my palm.

"Okay, Night, would you care to let me down?"

"Why would I? I was peacefully reading webtoon under my blankets hiding from the guardians and in the BLINK OF AN EYE, I AM HERE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS. Sill... what have you done?" I poked the globe, hard, and I can hear yelps of pain coming from him.

Yes, Him, it's a he. I met him when I was 6 when I was at my Grandpa's house when it was winter break.

Flashback:

"Grandpa, what is that thing ?" The six-year-old me pointed at a faintly shining globe buried in the snow.

"Hmm...?" He followed my gaze and looked at the empty space I was pointing at, "There was nothing there dear."

"But there is!" I ran to the globe and touched it "Look! I can even touch it!"

"help..." a faint voice of a young boy whispered.

I screamed and looked for the source of the voice.

My gaze locked on the globe.

"Darling? What is it?" My grandpa ran to me and pet my head, "what happened?"

"Nothing... Grandpa, " I ran to the icy cold globe and carefully picked it up. "I need to go to the bathroom."

"Okay..." Grandpa said, "Are you sure you are fine dear?"

"Yes!" I said, running towards the house with the globe in my hands.

I opened the door and ran to my bedroom.

I looked left and right, making sure there is no one. Then carefully slipped the globe on my pillow.

"Hello?" I said curiously.

"help..." the voice came again, it was faint but I can tell it is a boy.

"What do you need?" I asked.

"Warmth... water" It murmured.

I carefully buried the globe into my blanket and ran to the kitchen.

I came back to my room with a glass of cold water, then I pulled the blanket away, revealing the globe. The shine around the globe is stronger now.

"Nooooooo..." The globe murmured. "It was warm!"

So he's up already.

I splashed all the water on him, wetting my bed, blanket, and him too.

... Silence.

"Why did you splash water on me! If it was just water, that's fine, I can deal with it, BUT IT'S COLDWATER, WHAT YOU DOING IT'S WINTER." The globe screamed at me.

"You said wanted water, so I gave them to you," I tilted my head.

"I did?"

"Yes"

"Put your hand on the globe," The Globe said.

"But that's weird-"

"Just do it!"

I went a little stiff followed his instruction.

"I can feel that you are not human."

"I am not a human?"

"You are a human, I suppose, but your body is more flexible and stronger than normal people, you are almost a natural assassin."

"...Assassin?"
