The party lasted well into the night but fizzled out when the crew got called in to deal with a case. Munch said he'd wait until we know how bad the case really is to decide if he'd call us in.
"Auntie Cy is crying again," Christopher spoke, as he came into the kitchen.
"Honey, I'm gonna give you a small bit of advice when it comes to Auntie Cy," I spoke, as he walked over and grabbed a piece of the orange I peeling for his lunch tomorrow.
"Okay." He spoke, his mouth full.
"Well, Auntie Cy isn't used to having such sensitive emotions, so she'll be crying a lot more until the baby is born, okay? If she cries after you said something, more than likely, she is just crying just because. Don't worry." I spoke.
"So when I told her that I loved her, she isn't upset because of that?" He asked, and I shook my head.
"No, she isn't upset. Why don't you take this up and share it with Mary? I'll go talk to her." I smiled. Chris hugged my legs before grabbing the plate and heading upstairs.
I left the kitchen and headed outside. Cynthia was sitting on one of the lawn chairs, a blanket wrapped around her body, and tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Cy, what's wrong?" I asked, as I walked over and stood in front of my sister. She wiped at her tears and forced a smile.
"Nothing is wrong. I'm fine. Great actually." She spoke, as she stood up and tried to get past me, but I grabbed her arm and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Cy, something happened and it wasn't my son telling you that he loves you." I breathed. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around me as she started to sob.
"Honey, what's wrong?!" I asked, shocked. She cries a lot, but not full on sobbing.
"Gil said I was being dramatic when it came to my crying. He said I need to figure this out because he is getting really disgusted by me." Cynthia sobbed. She rested her head in the crook of my neck as she continued to cry.
"Okay, Cy, I'm gonna go talk to him," I spoke.
"Please, no! I don't want him to get angry." She sniffled, as she quickly stood back.
"Okay. I won't then." I breathed, but I didn't promise that Elliot wouldn't talk to Gil.

Elliot's POV
I finished climbing the stairs and into the garage apartment. Gil and I built the stairs so it was easier for Cynthia to walk up them once she was even more pregnant.
I knocked on the door before waiting. Gil eventually opened the door and smiled.
"Hey, Elliot. What's up?" He questioned as he led me into the apartment. It might be my house, but Olivia and I decided to give them as much privacy as possible.
"Mind talking? I brought beers." I spoke, as I held up the two I had held in my one hand.
"Are you and Liv fighting?" He asked, and I shrugged.
"The only other guy living in the main house is my 5-year-old, and I don't feel like talking about dinosaurs right now." I chuckled.
"I can't wait to have talks about dinosaurs with my son." Gil laughed.
"Gil, girls seem to run in the Benson family. Probably gonna be braiding hair and talking about unicorns." I replied.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" Gil asked, as he sank down onto his couch and took a beer from my hand when I held it out to him.
"I don't want to sound like I'm being nosy, but Cy was sobbing downstairs because it sounds like you were a jerk to her," I replied.
"Oh geez. I wasn't mean to her. I'm just getting a little tired of her crying all the time. Life isn't that hard for her." Gil huffed. He leaned back and took a long drink from his beer before staring at me. It was as if he wanted me to agree with him. But in the end, Cy is my sister too. She is just as important to me as she is to Liv.
"Man, she's only in the first month of her second trimester. Her body isn't used to that amount of change in her body. You just have to be a bit more sensitive towards her. Love her a little more. Hold her when she cries. Just don't tell her she has to change." I replied.
"Didn't you say that to Olivia when she was pregnant with Meredith?" Gil asked as if all men who had pregnant wives or girlfriends were assholes to them.
"No, I didn't. I supported my wife and all of her different emotions. I made sure I told her was beautiful when she was uncomfortable with how her body changed. I never was an ass to her if she was a little more dramatic than she usually was." I huffed a bit. I stood up and ran my hand over the back of my neck before looking at one of the pictures of Cynthia and Gil that was on the wall.
"You really are a fucking liar, Stabler." Gil spat.
"You are the liar. You should've known something was gonna happen when Cy told you that she was pregnant. That girl... she deserves someone amazing. Someone who will love her for her and not try to make her change and have her hide what they think is wrong with her. So, until you can figure out how to not be a jackass to him, I don't like you. Maybe I'll change my mind if you treat her like she deserves to be." I huffed. I grabbed the beer from his hand and left the garage apartment.
I headed down the stairs, and standing by the kitchen door was Cynthia and Olivia. Cynthia grabbed my arm before I could try and apologize, and she hugged me tightly.
"Thanks, Elliot. I love you." She whispered.
"It was nothing. Just a small man to asshole conversation." I mumbled. I looked at my wife and she was smiling.
"And I love you too," I mumbled. Cynthia hugged me for a minute more before quietly climbing the stairs and into the apartment.
"Are we gonna stay out here for a bit to make sure they don't fight?" I asked, and Olivia nodded.
"Yup. The kids are hanging out with Serena so we are free to eavesdrop." Olivia laughed.
