First Person POV

She took in a shaky breath, glancing up at the thunderous sky, waiting for the rain that was sure to come.

"Oh, Rebelle, just come out from your hiding spot, we will find you anyways." She heard the maniac say, sickly sweet.

She took off in a sprint, going to the left of the voice, not taking the obvious straightforward route. The small 7 year old only knew what her mother told her. 'Listen to me, Rebelle, do NOT go to the Maniac, okay? Ever. Now, go. Run. I love you.'

That was the last time she had seen her mother. It's been a week, and the child was beginning to get hungry. She had already eaten the food packed in her bag for her. What was she to do now?
