Sitting on my front steps,
with a cup of pink lady tea
Listening to the subtle winds,
and birds chirping and the buzzing of the bees
An airplane flying,
over my head
Darkness will come soon,
and then I’ll lay down in my bed
There are ants crawling,
up and down my walk-way
And cars pulling,
in and out of the drive way
There are mini ‘vampire’ wannabees,
landing on my arms nipping my skin
I flick them off with my finger,
and go on in
As I get up to go in,
and Italian couple walk by speaking in their tongue
I think it would be nice to know a language,
and make everything more fun
