The Winter We Thought We Lost Love

Chapter Twelve

The Day before Christmas

Pha, Beam and Kit were out getting the last few things they needed for the party and surprise tomorrow. Kit was getting nervous about everything wondering if the same thing would happen a year. They went to a cafe and sat down. Pha looked at Kit who seemed to be holding the rings in his hand.

''Is this what you really want to do?'' Pha asked him.

''Think about what happened last year. You were the one that said no before.'' Beam added as he leans on the table.

Kit looks down. They were right. What if Ming chooses to say no this time? What if he does end up going back to Shanghai and this time he wouldn't come back? Thought after thought ran throw his head. The one thing he knew for sure was he wanted to be with Ming and he didn't want to lose him again.

''Yeah, I want to do this and if he turns me down then so be. I just want him to know that I truly love him and want to be with him.'' Kit said looking at them.

Pha nodded ''Ok then, what do you have in mind for tomorrow? How are you going to do it?'' he said. Pha was worried but he knew Kit meant it.

''I have an idea.'' Beam spoke up ''Put his ring in the box they came in and you wear yours. Wrap the box and give it to him.''

Kit nodded ''That's a good idea, Beam.'' He said putting his ring on and placing the other ring in the box.

That same day, Forth and Yo were with Ming at Yo's house. Forth and Ming were sitting playing video games. Yo was watching them laughing as Ming was getting beat.

''Ming have you thought about what to get Kit for Christmas?'' Yo asked.

Ming put the controller down ''I asked him, but he said he didn't want anything. What did you guys get Pha and Beam?''

''Me and Pha already gave out gifts to each other yesterday.'' Yo said.

Forth nodded ''Me and Beam did as well.'' he added

Ming sat there thinking. He didn't know what to get or give Kit. The last time he got him something they nearly broke up. He got up and went to the kitchen to grab a drink. Yo followed him.

''What's wrong?'' He asked

''Just thinking'' Ming replied grabbing a glass of water.

''About last year.'' Yo jumped up to sit on the counter.

Ming nodded sitting the glass down ''Yeah.''

''I'm sure everything will be fine this year'' Forth said walking in the room.

''Yeah, don't worry about it.'' Yo added.

Ming nodded but deep inside he was still worried. He loves Kit and doesn't want to part from him again.

Christmas Day

Everyone was at Yo's house setting up for the party. Ming was at his parent's house, which was good due to they needed to go throw things about how Kit was going to give the gift to Ming.

''How are you going to give it to him?'' Pha asked sitting next to Yo on the couch.

''What about leaving it on the counter in the kitchen with his name on it and have him go get something to drink for us?'' Beam said leaning against Forth.

Kit nodded ''That's a good idea'' he said doing just that.

Later, Ming finally showed up. Kit meet him half way as he walked into the room. Ming picked him up in a tight hug then kissed his cheek.
