Another week passed and it keeps getting worse, why do people create worries in their own lives. If you really think about it life is not hard we just confuse ourselves.
Being back to school with the kids playing and jumping around helped me relax a bit, it was amazing to see how carefree they are. They're just so happy and so innocent, the sight of them smiling warmed my heart.
I felt my belly with the palm of my hand, a little bump was forming. I felt it with my hand imagining what the future held for my baby, I'm aware of how depressing the circumstances might be at the moment, but I'm happy to have a baby forming in me, I had lost hope a while ago.
It was time for parents to come to pick up their kids from kindergarten, I was here waiting till everyone left safely. Soon I'll be feeling empty again when they leave, my heart ached I wasn't looking forward to it.
As I was watching the kids I felt a hand tugging at the hem of my shirt, I looked down to see Sarah pouting at me, she's really small with long blond hair tied in a ponytail and shiny brown eyes, "miss Jessica"
she said still tugging at my shirt. I leaned down to face her, "yes Sarah, do you need something?"
"Mommy will be late again, can you tell me a story till she comes?" Sarah asked with her cute high pitched voice, giving me her puppy eyes and pouting her lips she added, "please?"
I chuckled heartily at her cuteness and she giggled clapping her hands, she did that often when she liked something.
I looked up and saw that all children had left with their parents but Sarah, "sure I can, what story do you want to hear?" I agreed, helping her to sit on the bench and sitting down next to her.
she pouted her lips thoughtfully and then her face lit up, "I want you to tell me about your bunny!" she clapped her hands excitedly.
I can feel the colour leaving my face just as she said my bunny, that's my Sunny. I tried to smile looking at Sarah and nodded my head, silently praying her mother would come soon before I cry in front of the kid.
"You haven't seen her for a while, you must miss her huh?" I looked at Sarah, she was nodding at my question with sad eyes.
"she doesn't come here to play with us anymore, even Lizzy missed her!" I was shocked as she said that. Lizzy seemed to always be annoyed when Sunny was here, she would follow her around glaring at her.
"Oh wow, I'm surprised. I thought that she didn't like my bunny." yeah my loveable bunny tried to win her over with chocolates and games, she wanted to be friendly with the kids under my care. "I guess we all missed her then," I said looking down at Sarah again.
Her focus wasn't at me though, she was looking behind me with wide eyes covering her mouth with her tiny hands. she stood up and screamed loudly with a big smile on her face.
"Hey little one, I missed you too! come here." Sarah ran to the voice still screaming with giddy.
I froze in my seat as I heard the familiar sweet voice, I can feel my heart stop beating for a second too long knocking me out of breath.
My body was shaking as I turned around to look at her, she was crouching on the floor with the kid jumping and giggling in her arms. she still had her bright smile on and her contagious laugh with her smiling eyes.
Her eyes were closed as she hugged Sarah and tried to stop her jumping, but the crazy movement of the girl made her fall backwards laughing.
A honk sounded from a car, it was Sarah's mom. She had to leave but not before making Sunny promise to visit again and saying bye to both of us, which I didn't reply to as she ran to her mother's car. I was paralyzed standing there staring at the girl in front of me.
