The bus ride home was really loud but it was like every one was programmed like a robot because they were all talking about the same thing: the valentines day dance, not a surprise to me or my bus buddy (that is the person sitting next to me on the bus because are seat are assigned and I'm stuck with some 5th grader but the dance is 5th grade thur 8th, that's how she knew about the dance) "Do you have a date to the dance yet?" Said a voice that sounded to young to be a 7th grader....oh it's Reese my bus buddy! "I kind of have a date because my best friend Avery said" "stop all I said was a yes or no question do you have a date or not!" Reese said with a mean tone in her voice. "Well then, if you really must know I almost have a date and that's the best your getting out of me." Avery said with a little sass.

"Finally I'm home! Wait, I forgot about mom, I have to act sad so she doesn't know about the dance and the date thing she can't know well, at least not yet."Chloe said in a I'm hiding something voice right before she walked in the door. "Hi mom."chloe said in a droopy tone."whats the matter?" Her mom said very worried. "oh nothing." Chloe said as she grabbed a banana from the fruit basket. "are you sure?" her mom said a little less worried but still concerned. "Yeah everything's fine."Chloe said with a mouth full of banana. "ok then after you eat you banana can you do your chores?" her mom said with a smirk. "sure mom I would love to do my chores and I do any extra!" Avery said with a half smile.
