School's starting to take over my life but I'm gonna try to update as much as I can.

Odell winced as the light came into his eyes. He covered his eyes and moaned in pain as he tried to sit up.

"Sit back down boy."

Odell remembered that was his mother's voice.

"Hey ma." He whispered with a cough. He opened his eyes and saw his family in the room. Well , his mother , stepdad and his brother and sister. "Hey guys."

His stepfather Dennis , handed him some water. Odell gladly took it and chugged it down.

"I need some more."

"You aren't getting anymore since you don't even know how to act right." Heather Van Norman said , folding her arms and giving her son a glare. He gives his sister a blank look.

"I almost die and I still get chewed out."

Jasmine giggled and covered her mouth when Heather glared at her also.

"I heard you resisted surgery and why was that ?"

"Allen is such a snitch." Odell muttered.

"Your agent Allen didn't tell us." Kordell said, smirking. Odell gave him a confused look.

"Then who told y'all that I resisted surgery ?"

"I did."

The door was pushed open to show Jordyn. Odell instantly smiled seeing her. She had food bags in her hands and gave everyone their individual bags.

"So you didn't tell your family that you had a girlfriend huh ?" Heather said , folding her arms. Odell looked at Jordyn and Jordyn didn't look at him as she sat on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah why didn't you tell them ?" Jordyn asked him. He straight faced her but turned his head to his mother.

"It's all her fault. She was too scared."

Jordyn squinted her eyes at him.

"Well how long has this been going on ?"

Jordyn and Odell looked at each other and thought about it. Kordell snickered at their faces.

"You two don't know how long you have been together ?" Dennis asked.

"It's been almost two years ?" Odell questioned and looked at Jordyn for confirmation and she nodded.

"Yeah we met before your fight with Josh Norman. I remember that. You called me pissed." She laughed a little and that let alone put a smile on his face. His family noticed and smiled also.

"I'm mad at you." Jasmine mentioned to Odell. He groaned and threw his head back.

"What did I do to you out of all people ?"

"I had a sister in law this whole time and now she just pops up."

"Anyone else have a problem ?" Odell asked them. Jordyn hit in his arm. Odell took the hit and didn't say anything.

"I like her." Dennis smiled slightly , looking at Jordyn gossiping with Jasmine and Heather.

"Yeah she's great." He told him. Odell looked off in the distance and Dennis thought it was the drugs. Odell was confused. Why was he so happy with Dennis's approval ?
