hey there, it's future mela, and i wanna make a few statements before you start this book.
1.) I wrote this when I was a 14 year-old leaving seventh grade & entering eighth grade. I'm currently 16 and I'm a junior in highschool. this was my first book and it's obviously OLD. its content is most likely cringy. i was a new army at this time, so there's old jokes that are offensive now. I DO NOT align myself with those jokes anymore, and I've educated myself more on those things in the last 2, almost 3, years!
2.) I haven't edited this book. It's long and old. I don't really see a point in doing so because I keep it here to look back at how far I've came in my writing (as cringy as I was). as of now, this book is at 2.8 million. thank you to all who have read my work (: i appreciate you guys the most!
3.) i don't care if you make fun of 14 year old mela— i hate her too LMAO. BUT please acknowledge we aren't the same person anymore. please don't associate 14 year old me with the 16 year old me!
4.) i used to receive a lot of hate on this story for the straight ships. i worded it wrong and said an incorrect term that really doesn't exist (apologies to those i've offended because of that). HOWEVER, HATE STILL EXISTS. hate is hate, and nobody deserves hate based on whether they're straight or gay. straight or gay, or if you identify in any other way, you are valid.
please try to accept and love every sexuality, every single gender identity, and everyone as a whole because in the end, we're all equally deserving no matter how we choose to live our lives.
so please just don't leave hate. please.
