The TV switches off with a click, cutting off the newscaster's words. Todd Harrison, CEO of UniCuff leans back in his chair and sighs.
The world just goes on and on, with nothing happening anymore... he thinks, picking up his collapsed Pad, which has an image of a thumb on it.
A new message? He puts his thumb on the scanner and the screen flickers white before the Pad uncollapses and turns from a two-inch by two-inch black square to the full 8-inch by 11-inch paper-thin screen that is his personal Pad.🇼🇮🇵
