Getting Ready - 10

"I'm sorry." Jimin is shocked by my out burst and if I'm honest, i'm shocked too.

"You should be sorry! I'm sorry about what I said last week, I had no right. You're right we don't know each other, but I would love to get to know you more." I apologize, telling him what I really want to say.

"I would like that." he croaks, before he starts crying.

He sits up slowly and I hug him. The interaction coming out of my caring side, yet I feel uncomfortable. We pull away soon after and Jin decides to speak up.

"Jimin." we both look at him, im shocked, his aura has changed greatly.

Jimin looks scared but the next words that come out of Jin's mouth make him smile.

"I'm glad you're okay." Jin hugs Jimin and I stand off the bed.

"I should be going, it's really late. I'll see you in the morning Jimin." I say, backing out of the room.

"Oh, Ace." I turn to look at the two, but Jin is the one talking.

"Jamey will be coming by in the morning to talk to you, just a warning." I nod and leave.

The next morning, like Jin said, Jamey showed up. This time he wasn't in he's normal casual outfit that made me feel comfortable, no, he was in his police uniform. He brought along two other police officers with him who stood outside the door to me room while Jamey was inside talking to me. Jamey gave me the run down of why he was here, basically telling me that the court date will be in two days. I will be in a court room with a lawyer, Jamey, the judge, a jury, a different lawyer, and Sir. When he got to this point I broke down.

I started yelling, saying no I wouldn't do it. I didn't want to go through any more trauma, but Jamey calmed me down. Saying this was the best way of me getting free of him. So eventually I agreed to it. Jamey left within the next hour, telling me he would be by tomorrow with a suit and a run down of how everything will go. The police officers left with Jamey. I decided to go and sit in the garden outside the hospital for a while. Eventually I went back inside, I ate in the cafeteria then left back to my room. Just in time to take my medicine.

It was strange, the sleep that I got wasn't much. I had nightmares of the past. Nightmares that we wouldn't win the case. When I woke up it was very early. I was to have a check up later at noon, so it wasn't an issue that I woke up at 5am. Though, I got up and took a shower. When I got out of the shower, I stared at my body in the mirror. I was slowly putting on the weight again. I looked away from my body in the mirror to my eyes. They were lighter than ever and the dark circles were getting better.

I decided to brush my teeth. Then I would go down stairs to eat. It got around to me 8am soon enough and I finally got up from my bed to go get something to eat. I walked past Jimin's room, peaking in to see if he was awake. He was, staring at the Tv blankly.

"Hey Jimin." I say loud enough for him to hear but not too loud.

He looks over to me in the door way, he smiles lightly.

"Morning Ace." he tells me in a light voice.

"Lets go get breakfast." I tell him.

He nods, getting off the bed. We head downstairs, we pass by the front desk lady. Sending her a good morning as well. As we continue we run into Ms. Sadi. She tells me not to eat anything, due to it adding weight to my body. This will mess up the scales. So with this information I walked with Jimin to the cafeteria. I sat at a random table, waiting for Jimin to get his food. When he came back I talked to him while he ate. Finally he finished and we left. It was creeping around the time for my exam. I spent the rest of the time in Jimin's room talking to him. Eventually noon rolled around and I left with my nurse to go do exams.

When I came back I went and sat in Jimin's room, talking to him. Around 2pm Jimin's friends came. All 6 of them, Jin and I greeted each other. Then Jungkook, who apologized for last time. Finally I met everyone else. We all got along, and time crept slowly. I didn't know when Jamey would come but eventually he did. Knocking on the door to Jimin's room, interrupting us all in our laughing state. I was a bit nervous to leave, but tomorrow will be a new day and I need to be prepared for anything.

Once again Jamey didn't come alone or in his casual clothes. He was in uniform and with two other officers, different then the two from yesterday. I got off of Jimin's bed and said a goodbye to everyone. Then walked out, behind Jamey and being followed by the two officers. I kept my head down, feeling everyone's eyes on me. I guess they were confused but I knew I couldn't share anything with them due to the secret. Until the court case is over nothing is allowed to be shared with anyone who doesn't need to know.

I wonder how tomorrow will go?
