Maddys pov
"Hello! Maddy are you listening to me?" my friend, Cathy, rudely interrupted my thoughts "yeah" I lie as she smiles at me and mumbles something that I couldn't really hear. All i can really focus on is how my friends are going to react when they see how much I've changed. As if she was on cue, my bestfriend, Vicky texted me. I open my message. As my eyes scan over the words, a wave of anger flows over me, making me throw my phone on the ground, causing it to smash. Cathy walks in after the big crash from my phone. She sees that I'm now curled up in a little ball sobbing and runs over to comfort me. " what the fuck happened?" She asked me in a kind and relaxing voice, which started to calm my nerves. Once i was calm enough, i picked up my broken phone to see if it still worked and surprisingly it did. I sighed in relief and went into messages to show Cathy what Vicky had said to me
Vicky❤: hey we can't be friends anymore soz not soz
Maddy💙: why?
Maddy💙: plz tell me u r joking
Vicky❤: im not joking bc u were an asshole to my friends so... bye
Cathy engulfed me in a hug and one small tear ran down my cheek.
"Don't listen to her let's have a fun car trip," Cathy stated. I gave a single nod and followed her downstairs to the front door, with my bag filled with most of my clothes.

"Dad whats wrong with the car?"
Cathy questioned
"The engine overheated so we will have to stay the night."Oh. No. I feel my stomach churn at the sudden news.

Later that night i went to go explore the woods. I could hear my self conscience yelling at me it is a bad idea. I sit in the car for about 10 minutes debating if to go or not, i finally made up my mind to go explore. i tumbled out of the car and trotted towards the mysterious woods the second i step into the woods i could hear animals of all sorts using there own language. It was peaceful and calming until i heard a "SNAP" behind me "Cathy is that you?" I nevuously asked I saw nothing but darkness i couldn't even see the car i didnt bother calling out because i didn't want a hungry predators to know that there is a free meal waiting for them. i started to walk the way i came at least i think its this way. i heard the " SNAP" i turned around and see a dark figure walking towards me, i start to walk backwards then trip over something i wince in pain and when i open my eyes the dark figure is right in front of my face my hearted is beating out my chest the figure stands up and helps me maby he/she's not that bad i thought until it scratches my eye. i scream in pain and when I open my eyes the figure was gone
