Bad Day

   You hear the door to your bedroom creak open. You can't see him since your head is buried in your pillows, but you know Tuukka sees you. The floor boards give in slightly as he walks over to your side.  Putting one hand on your back he whispers "Can I see your face sweetheart?" You moan back, refusing to let him see your red puffy face after crying earlier while he wasn't home. His large palm now moves up and down your back, from your shoulders to the small of your back. He sits on the bed, the mattress bowing with his weight. "Do you want me to hold you?" He asks with a soft voice. You nod your head while still engulfed by sheets and pillows. He slowly helps you to sit up and you wrap your arms around his neck and rest your head against his pec. "I'm sorry I couldn't be home at the time you needed me most y/n" his voice sounding guilty. You couldn't blame him, he was at practice. You lift your head and kiss his neck daintily. He lifts your head up fully to see your rosy, swollen cheeks and watery eyes. He kisses you. His soft lips taking every bit of stress with each second. He stops to look at you. "You are my everything. Every freckle, every scar... Every tear that falls off your face is one more tear I wish I could prevent." His voice seemed to echo in your head. You can't help but tear up more. As a tear rolls down your cheek, he wipes it away quickly with his thumb. You smile lightly as you look at his bright eyes. "I'm sorry Teddybear.." you mumble to Tuukka. He  shushes you with another kiss.  "Sleep darling, it's late, and tomorrow will be a better day... I promise." His voice soothes you. As you rest your head against him again, he quietly sings to you a Finnish song. You don't know what the song is saying but he has sung it to you before.  Without realizing it, you fall asleep. Now seeing you were asleep, Rask gently lays your head on the pillow and slips into bed next to you. "Goodnight princess" he mutters before falling asleep as well.
