New fanfic, hope you guys like. I'm gonna try my best to stay up with this one!
“Camilia wake up,” I heard my mother call from down the stairs. Her voice always sounded very faint but every morning I ended up hearing it seconds before my alarm went off. I laid in bed and kept my eyes closed and wrapped the blankets tighter around me as my air conditioner across the room kicked on. Same thing every single morning. The only thing that was different about today was it was finally the last day before summer break, praise the lord is all I can say about that. Junior year was hell.
As I was lying there thinking over all the things that had happened over the past year my alarm went off on my phone, 6:45 in the morning. Way too early for this shit honestly. I reached over and grabbed it, unlocked it and silenced it before sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I yawned loudly as I got up and walked across my room to my dresser where I had previously set my clothes out for today and grabbed them before walking into my bathroom.
I turned the shower on and let it heat up as I brushed my teeth. Once I was finished I took my hair out of the horrid looking bun on top of my head and let it fall into a scattered mess of tangles across my back. I stepped into the shower, letting the warm water envelope me. Showering was one of my favorite things to do honestly. I reached over and turned on my shower radio which was on the was on the wall next to my shampoo. I let the alternative music station wake me up like I did morning of the school year. I Wanna Get Better by The Bleachers was on. It was a fairly new song, but I knew the melody so I hummed along with it.
Getting out of the shower I dried myself off and got dressed quickly realizing I had lost track of time in the shower. I had picked out a cute summer romper the night before, which was black and white with the top half being the white and the bottom being the black. The top was a floral lace fabric material and the bottom half being just plain black shorts. I threw my hair up into a quick bun, put on a light amount of mascara, some deodorant and perfume before heading downstairs.
“Its 7:30 Camilia you better get going or you re going to be late for the last day of school,” my mother said with a slight hint of sarcasm. She never really seemed to care for or take any interest in my higher involvement with school. Ever since high school started I was put into all of the advanced classes, even told I could graduate a year early if I wanted to. Surprisingly enough I scored so high on my SAT’s that I have my pick at any college I prefer right now. The unfortunate thing is, I have yet to decide what I want to do in the future.
I just nodded and smiled as I walked over towards the counter where my mom was and grabbed the to go cup of coffee she always made for me in the morning, “Thanks mom. I’ll let you know if I have make any plans for after school today. Love you.” I walked to the front of the house and grabbed my lanyard that hung of the ever so small key holder and walked out the door. If I had to take the bus still I’d probably throw myself off the roof. I hated that shit. It was so annoying.
Getting into my jeep, my Bluetooth connected automatically and a the radio started blaring my music, first of scaring the shit out of me, and second making me spill my coffee, before getting situated and looking for a playlist to put on for my drive to school. I was honestly lucky, my mom had won about 100 thousand at the local casino one night which was enough to buy me a fairly new car for my birthday a few month ago. Its literally the love of my life. After I found the playlist I wanted I pulled out of my driveway and headed off to hell. Luckily it was the last day. For a few months at least.
I got to school and went to first period, sat through roll call and watched a movie. Second period was mostly the same thing, except luckily I had my best friend Violet in that class. We sat next to each other and talked the whole time, which wasn’t unusual when we were in a class together, “So when was the last time he called you?” Vi asked looking up from her phone. She must have past something on twitter or Instagram that related to him.
I looked back down at my phone to see if I had anything new from him. I went to my messages, to my twitter and to my recent calls. “The last time he called me was two weeks ago, and we skyped the day after. Then a few texts on and off in between but we haven’t talked in a really long time.”
“Cam, maybe you should reconsider this whole thing,” Violet said. I could see the worry in her eyes. She knew how fast I fell for this guy. And considering he was from an on the rise boy band, I kinda don’t blame her.
I thought back to the beginning of the year when I was scrolling through my tumblr dashboard and saw a picture of four boys and an audio clip attached. I clicked on it and listened, and ended up falling in love with their voices. Wanting more I did my research on this band. Their name is 5 Seconds of Summer and with time, I knew every song, the background of each boy, and even had my favorite picked out; Luke.
Later on in the year they ended up going on a small tour and I made my mom take me on a ten hour drive to see them. I bought meet and greets and everything. Their concert was amazing of course, and meeting them was even better. But meeting them brings us to where I am now, hopelessly in love with Calum Hood. Don’t ask me how it happened, I don’t know but he just asked for my number and I gave it to him. Simple as that.
Calum and I talked for hours on end on the phone, skyped, texted, tweeted, you name it. When he wasn’t busy we were somehow in contact. In time I fell in love and when New Years Eve rolled around he invited me to spend the holiday with him in London. He was there with his band about to start more touring. It was the first time he told me he loved me and I actually said it back. We kissed at midnight and everything, and yes I know it sounds clichéd but it was very cute.
So here we are now, me stuck in love with the famous Calum Hood for almost a full year. He’s on tour in America, actually very close here and I’m going to see him open for a popular band very soon. But that isn’t the point, “Vi what if he doesn’t love me anymore?” I asked her, bringing myself back to here and now and trying to stop worrying.
“Then we expose him for the asshole he really is,” she said simply. As the bell rang we got up and walked out of class. I hated walking down the halls because everyone stared at me knowing I was dating a celebrity. I mean sure, that’s how they see him but that’s not how I do. Violet even met him and she just thinks of him as a normal guy.
The rest of the day luckily went by fast. At the end of last period everyone piled out quickly, and I made my way to my locker for the last time that year. I grabbed my bag and my lanyard and started to head towards the front doors where the parking lot was. I was so ready to just get home and eat something. God was I hungry.
As I was walking out of the doors I saw a bit of a crowd around the area where I had parked. I increased my pace slightly to get there faster to see what the problem was. I saw flashes in between the students and I even heard one girl scream. A few girls were laughing and everyone was asking for a picture. I literally had to shove my way to get to my car. Finally I reached the front of the crowd. I started to brush off the little bit of dirt that got on my purse before I looked up and noticed him.
There he was. There was Calum leaning against my car.
