PRINCE POV

I pull up to aliyah's house with a uhaul truck. I take DJ out the car as she rings the doorbell. aliyah greets us and kisses me and helps me with the boxes. her friend rostco sat in the kitchen eyeing  me as he ate a bowl of cereal.I was going to say something to him but I left it alone.

when I finished moving the boxes aliyah told us to help her set up for Andre's surprise party. she said she felt bad for not giving him a party so she decided to have a small party at the house with Craig and danielle DJ and I and her. we put the streamer up and blow up balloons.

rostco soon left after everything was set up. shit, the nigga ain't even help. I soon see aliyah roll her eyes at her phone and put it back in her pocket I wonder what is wrong?

prince: babe what is wrong

aliyah: nothing I have to go into work really quick I should be back before five

prince: okay..

with that,she grabs her purse and hurried out the door. I decided to make DJ and I some noodles since she was hungry. we sat and watched spongebob and waited on aliyah.

ALIYAH POV

I look down at my phone to see a text from Rostco I push my hair behind my ear and read the text

Rostco: I don't like that guy one bit

aliyah: smh... okay... and

Rostco: you need to break up with him

aliyah: I can make my own decisions

rostco:_ you are so stubborn a stuck up bitch

oh.fuck.no I know he ain't call me a bitch that is one of my pet peeve's being called a bitch I don't play DAT

aliyah: you cut nigga don't talk to me no more snip snip how

Rostco: aliyah!

aliyah: who is you?

rostco: you know who this is

aliyah: no I don't.....

rostco: you wanna play childish games be that way.

I roll my eyes and get mad

prince: where you going

aliyah:the bar

I quickly grab my purse and speed down the road to work a couple hours at the bar. I needed to clear my head.

when I get there I see a jail number pop on my screen and I answer.

aliyah: hello

roc: my momma going to bail me out on Friday

aliyah: great for you

I hang up and roll my eyes and sit my purse behind the counter I put on my apron and I began to get to work.

ROC POV

I sit on the phone as my moms face turns serious

roc: what is wrong?

ms.A: I uh your dad and I had a little conversation that upset me.

roc: oh.. okay you going to be fine?

ms.A: yeah

roc: where you going after this

ms.A: Andre called and said he was having  a birthday party.

roc: oh shit its his birthday?

ms.A: (straight face) nigga

roc: I forgot and I already called her today I have no more calls till tomarrow.

ms.A: I gave them the money you should be released tomarrow when they get the papers together.

roc: (smiles) OK

ms.A: be good now love you boy

roc: OK love you mama

she hands the officer the plate if food to give to me and walked out the room. he gave me the plate and I went to my room to eat. I can't wait till I see aliyah and Andre. I hope they are excited too.

ANDRE POV

I told the boys it was time for me to go home and that they would ride with me when Craig's mom takes me home. the ride was silent. they kept grinning and looking at me. I just ain't say nothing cause I didn't want us to argue when we just made up. when we arrive the all hop out the car including his mother and we walked up to the house I knocked on the door. when it opened the lights were turned off the guys where not behind me anymore.

Andre: hello?

everyone: SURPRISE!

the lights turns on and everything was decorated. everyone had party hats and confetti to throw at me. as soon as I saw the fried chicken I hurried to the table and sat down.

Andre: let's eat

aliyah: (laughs ) OK but first let's pray

everyone sits down at the table and held hands.

prince: dear father I want to thank you for the food and this lovely group of friends and family. may you pray over us as we go on through time and wish  Andre a happy happy birthday in the lord I pray amen.

we all clap and begin to dig in. there was chicken Mac and cheese collared greens and spare ribs. it was all yummy. I am happy sue decided to give me a small party. after we ate my mom did face painting and we ran around the house playing games. when it was time to blow out the candles I wish for everything good and nothing bad.

bad things can twist into something wonderful that you can see with your eyes but your heart.
