Paul finally is able to walk a little bit by the time we get to Emily and Sam's.
Leah, Embry and I drag him in and drop him on the couch.
"What happened this time?" Emily asks when I walk in the kitchen.
"Paul may or may not be able to have children later in life," I say before bursting into laughter. I hear Embry start laughing from the other room.
"What did you do?" she asks.
"Well, we were coming back here. Paul tried to tackle me, but I ducked and he rammed into a tree. I cracked a joke about him still being dumb, so he threw me over his shoulder and started running for the cliffs. So I warned him to put me down, or else," I explain, "Well he didn't, and the or else involved him getting kicked, rather hard in his no-no square."
Emily starts laughing extremely hard.
"It's not funny!" Paul yells from the other room. That causes us to laugh even harder.
"Don't lie Paul. It really is!" Leah says. I hear him grunt, then shift around on the couch.
All of the sudden there is a very loud, very long howl. One of the guys.
I drop the spoon I was using on the counter and dash out the back door. I go being one of the big trees, and strip then phase.
Paul: [What now?!]
Jake: [Picked up leech on the south border. And it's not the Cullen's.]
Seth: [And one tried to get me on the north side!]
I pick up the scent fairly quickly, and follow it down the river to find a leech with bright red hair in a long black coat. She hisses at me.
Me: [Oh really bitch?]
I growl before she jumps at me. I dodge her, then clamp my jaw down on her leg. She screams and slams her fist down on my muzzle. And Jakes wolf figure tackles her off of me.
Jake: [Alex! Don't! Let us take her.]
Me: [Dammit Jake I had her!!]
I mentally scream at him. Everyone that's phased just laughs. I stalk off back to Emily's and phase back, then drive home.
