Ep 5 - Beaten and Betrayed

"Sea legs aren't bad for a land lover" Hook says as we walk down the ship to where he was sailing the ship.

As we both reach him Bae speaks, "yeh but I still get queasy sometimes."

As I sit on the side of the ship I look at them confused, "what's Sea legs?" I ask.

They both look towards me slightly laughing, Bae always was the smarter one, yes I would read a lot of book but that was only after our papa became the dark one after it caused me to loose all my friends, but before that I'd just spent the whole day every day outside with my friends, but Bae would stay in, "it doesn't matter" Hook says still laughing slightly, "would either of you care to try a hand of the helm?" Hook asks looking at both of us.

"I don't know what that means but if it's steering the ship.." I jump up off the side, "then hell yeah!" I beam walking towards him quickly. He moves out the way slightly to the side as I grab onto the steering wheel, "but if we crash it's not my fault!" I smirk and both Hook and Bae slightly laugh again.

"I better teach you well then" Hook states smirking, "come here," he signals to Bae, "you can both learn," Bae takes a few steps forward and we both watch as he carves letters into the metal, "the left side is called Port" he says carving a letter P.

"And the right side is called Star Port!" He carves SP then moves right to the side of me, "okay go two notches Port" as he speaks I move the steering wheel following the instructions he just told me. He laughs slightly, "you were born with the sea in your blood" I smirk as he ruffles my hair.

"You haven't seen nothing yet, I guarantee I will eventually crash and it'll be tragic," we all slightly laugh, I have to say I haven't had this much fun in a long time, in fact for as long as I can remember, I barely knew my mother, I barely got on with my father, the only people I have ever had fun with was my old friends and my brother and now I'm with Hook and Bae and I couldn't be happier. I look over to Bae, "hey you want to try" I ask offering him the steering wheel.

He shakes his head, "I'd rather not, although I know I'd be better at you at it!" He says with a smirk lay across his face.

"Oh yeh," I say smirking moving my face closer to his, "Well I've got the sea in my blood so... try me!" We look at each other with a serious face for barely a second before we couldn't help it and we both burst out laughing.

When I look over to Hook I see him smiling but it doesn't last long as a frown grows upon him he looks towards the ground then looks back up at us, "You spoke of your mother's fate," he says looking at Bae since when we got here he mentioned her, "but your father," he looks to both of us, "what became of him?" Bae looks away thinking about it and I try to focus more on sailing the ship not thinking about our parents, "you say he left you?" He asks me.

I don't reply as I was just overwhelmed with emotion and memories of the time our father abandoned us for his magic, "it's a long story!" Bae jumps in saving me from having to talk, I don't ever want to talk about my father again, not after what he did, but I guess it's a subject that will always come up, "we don't like to talk about it," Bae says.

"You can say that again," I say scoffing keeping my eyes glaring in front of me slightly so I don't actually crash but mostly I didn't want to look anyone in the face, "it's in the past now and as Bae said it's a long story anyway."

"One that I know well" Hook speaks as he puts his one functional hand on the wheel to help me steer, "when I was a boy, my father and I boarded a ship with plans to travel the realms," we look towards him interested, "one morning I awoke and he was gone, turned out he was a fugitive" Hook said smiling I'm guessing sarcastically, "he fled in the middle of the night to avoid capture!"
