Epilogue

The second Dean swiped for her, Selina released her hold on Cas, causing the angel to fall from the wall. She backed away from the jagged blade. Forgotten was Cas, and Sam, and even the King. Selina was now focused on surviving.

"You lying, bucktooth bitch," Dean snarled at her.

"Gee, glad to see you're keeping your terms of endearment for me." Glancing at Cas, she noticed he'd dropped his silver blade. With power, she called it to her hand. Just as Dean's blade sailed for her, the silver blade leapt into her hand.

Selina ignored all spectators, she focused on surviving against Dean. It's not about the King anymore, it's about living. It's about escaping. That's what she needed to do now, escape. It was her only shot of living just a while longer. Granted, she would probably have the King's wrath, along with Dean's, on her tail, if she managed to get that far.

With a burst of power, Selina shot Dean off his feet. She took off for the open double doors, quickly trying to remember the way out. She tried her best to remember the path, but taking on all the demonic guards from before made sense of direction a little difficult to recall.

I just need to make it out of here. I'll take the car, I'll go on the road. I'll lie low.

Just as Selina turned to look over her shoulder, the jagged knife bit into her cheek. Selina howled, tottering into the nearest cold brick wall. He caught up awful quick. Dean Winchester displayed his black eyes.

"They say to never trust a demon, should've known better," he said.

"Yeah, you really should have." With a yell, Selina lunged for Dean. She hoped that backup would come. Maybe Cas would restrain Dean and leave her be. She wasn't banking on the King to lend her a hand, not after what betrayal she had just displayed in his throne room.

During their exchange, the silver blade was knocked out of Selina's hand. Dean grabbed her throat, shoving her hard into the brick wall. As he aimed the knife for her heart, Selina grabbed, feeling the burst of power explode in her. The impact put her further into the wall, and it catapulted Dean into the opposite wall. Selina quickly retrieved her blade, continuing her run out of Hell.

Pain shot up through her shoulder as she knocked it while sharply turning a corner. Over the blood pounding in her ears, she heard Dean's angry feet pursue her. The door remained wide open, and Selina practically jumped out.

She jumped out into very bad weather: a storm with torrential downpour, bone-deep thunder claps, and bright streaks of thunder. The rain was hard to see through, even with her heightened eye sight.

Her steps sloshed against the mud as she ran for the road. The wind howled in her ears. As Selina twisted around to see Dean still in pursuit, she'd tangled her legs together. Cursing, she pushed herself up, covered in mud, off the ground.

"You keep running, I'll keep hunting," Dean shouted at her through the sheets of rain. Both were soaked, and Selina felt the violent shivers ripple through her body. She held the silver blade at her side. "This only ends one way."

"Yeah, with me getting away."

Selina turned on her heels, making another run for the road. A brutal force hit her in the back, sending her to the sloppy, muddy ground. She twisted to wrestle with Dean. Her silver blade was just out of reach for her to grab. Selina yelled as she saw the jagged knife bite into the messy ground beside her.

Dean flipped Selina onto her back. She kept her arm outstretched, calling on her power to bring the blade to her. She cried out as Dean threw the knife into her wrist, holding her to the ground.

"This is why I fly solo," Dean hissed at her. He ripped the knife out of her wrist. Heavy rain on an open wound was not pleasant. "I should have killed you much earlier than this."

Not today. With a cry, Selina felt the silver blade in her hand. With all that she had, she thrust the blade into Dean's chest. He hovered over her, glancing down at the weapon in him. He sighed heavily, the drops of rain dripping off his hair.

"Selina, Selina, Selina," he mocked her. "You know better than that." Grunting, he ripped out the silver blade. He discarded it to the side, turning the jagged knife in hand now. "I don't die easy."

Selina uttered a sputtered choke as the jagged knife slammed into her chest. She gasped, locking eyes with the demonic Dean Winchester.

"Y-you...son of a...bitch."

Dean backed off, rising to his feet, as Selina shorted out in her meat suit. Her eyes remained unblinking and open, rain freely pelting her vacant body. He looked over his shoulder, glowering.

He plucked the knife from Selina's corpse, continuing his way through the bad storm.
