Chapter 3

Lex Pov......

I went to walk out the brooks house when i heard Jai or was it Luke going off at one another. “Should i listen or butt out” i thought to myself. I decided to walk off because i wasn’t sure if it was right to listen into the convo.

I knocked on my door, because i left my keys in the house. Typical me leaving things in places i can’t get to. “MUM! I’M HOME!” I scream out thinking she was upstairs still unpacking her stuff. “Chick no needs to yell im right here”. Chick is the name my mum calls me. It’s a bit embarrassing actually but ohwell. I ran straight up stair and waltzing into my room with a smile on my face whilst replaying the events of the day. When all the thoughts stopped when i found a letter on my bed.... it was sent from an address in Ireland. I ripped it open and slipped the letter out. It only read a few words but they scared me. I read them over and over again all night till i fell into a deep sleep.

I was running on the school oval. Someone one was running trying to catch me from behind. “Help help please anyone!” I kept screaming till my throat hurt. I was almost at the end of the oval heading for a main road through the bushes. Then all of the sudden i got tripped over from the man behind. I turned my head and it was him. The person i never ever wanted to see again the person who broke my heart and ruined my life it was............

My eyes flew open i had sweat running down my face i was panting so hard i could hardly breathe. My mum bursted into my room! “Oh my gosh Lexie you scared me!” she yelled. Then she took a deep breath. “Chick are you ok i heard screaming and i thought something was wrong” mum looked so frightened. “Mum, Mum im ok. Really just a bad dream that’s all.” I said acting all ok when on the inside i was frightened as hell of the dream and him. After mum left to go back to bed, I sat with my legs held up to my chest and let a few tears fall freely. After i had finished i slid down to lying position and went back to sleep.

Jai’s Pov.......

I was so angry at Luke. I’ve been told heaps by beau and Luke that it was just a hug. But i new and everyone else knew that it was way more than that. I cared for Lexie. Beau walked into my bedroom and sat at the end of my bed. “Why are you so hung up on this girl? You have only known her for what... half a day and your already i love? What about Luke? Are you going to let this girl get in the way of your guys friendship?” he said. A million thoughts were going through my head like ‘Was i going to let Lexie get in the way of our friendship? And out of all of the questions i was asking myself this was the most important... “Do i love her?”
