*Harry's POV*
I was sat on the sofa in the burrow, watching the fire as it crackled and popped, darkness had fallen many hours ago and everyone in the burrow had gone up to bed leaving me to my own thoughts.
As I looked into the dancing fire I thought about everything and anything until tiredness took over and I fell asleep
I was awoken, a few hours later by a movement to the right of me. I peeled open my bleary eyes and caught sight of a mop of flaming red hair.
"Ginny? " I whispered groggily
I felt a finger come up to my lips
" ssshhhh"
I stayed silent.
I watched as Ginny crawled onto the sofa in between the small gap between me and the cushions at the back. She lay her head on my shoulder and wrapped her arm around my middle. I wrapped my arms around her too, my hand wandering under shirt where I drew patterns with my fingers. We stayed like that for what felt like forever until...
"Harry?"
"yeah."
"I love you."
My heart stopped. What? She loved me? Me? Harry Potter? Why? Why would she love me? I'm not good enough for her. She loves me? What? Surely not?I love her so, so much,but I had never thought, not even in my wildest dreams (well maybe in some of my dreams) that she would ever love someone me back.
"I, I love you too Gin."
I look down into her warm eyes, taking in everything about them, about her. My one true love.
Then, ever so slowly I lean in and kiss her, I have kissed her many times before, but never like this, never had I felt so much that I belonged, that I belonged right where I was in the arms of the girl who stole my heart.
When we broke apart I twisted around on the sofa so that we were facing each other, our heads leant together and our arms and legs tangled up, so much so that it was impossible to figure who's was who's. And that's how we stayed all night long.
