The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Sylvia's POV

I tightened the bolt as I installed the time setter again to the time machine. I stepped back and wipe my forehead Well, it's now finished, all that's left is to start it. I went to the time setter to set a date Hmmm...let's say five days ago.

I could remember what happend five days ago - an EF3 tornado formed outside the Rietran City, it went over an area where there are Mutant Flames present and sucked it, the natural phenomenon turned into a Mutant tornado.

I thought when I heard that event on the news The reporters sure has a childish naming sense, 'Mutant tornado' - they named it after the description.

I stood next the machine Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you the time machine. I pressed the button and the Mutant orb in the time machine rotated around, the space in the machine started to distort and saw that the machine will just randomly transport you in any place in the city.

I sighed in relief It looks like it's working! I took out my notebook and writing down the minor adjustments necessary I don't want to time leap and end up staring down a cliff or on the muddy swamplands.

I close the notebook Well, let's see if I really leaped through time. I slowly stepped out on the other side and noticed that I came out on the roof of the highest building in the city. I look at my phone - it glitched for a few seconds and saw the date change and skip five days back! I can't help but get excited for the time machine worked! I look around and saw the vortex of wind travelling outside the city. It started absorbing Mutant Flames.

It looks beautiful for the sky-blue colored Flame gave color to the tornado.

I went back to the present time Let's go further back in time. I set the timer a few years back and as I step out, I notice that I'm in a storage room I wonder where I am now? I opened the door and saw a familiar gymnasium This place...the Xerosic Aademy? I walked a distance and the hallways of the Academy are quite different The place sure gives a different aura.

Excuse me?

I turned and saw a janitor, I thought He sure looks familiar, where have I seen him before? He asked How come a student is here? Today's a weekend. I replied I'm just..uh..researching in the library.
