Chapter 24: A little bit of dragons

Chapter 24:  

Stormfly’s P.O.V

“Stormfly, hey!” I heard a voice roar behind me. I ignored it and kept walking. “You can’t ignore me for ever!”

I turned around and glared at Ember, “I can sure as Thor try to.”

“Oh come on, don’t tell me you are still mad at me.”

“Still mad at you? Of course I am still mad at you!” I roared, the spines along my tail popping up. The handsome Nadder cocked his head to the side.

“I didn’t mean to leave you.” He said somewhat sincerely, but I didn’t buy it.

“You didn’t just leave me though.” I said calming myself enough to turn away and keep walking. “What about them, the kids? They never knew their father!”

“I swear I didn’t mean to, I would have stayed-“ He pleaded stepping in front of me.

“Then why didn’t you?” I snarled.

“I wasn’t ready-“

“Coward.” I growled jumping into the air and flying away.

***Flashback***

"An accident, that's not what I call an accident." I growled stepping towards her. She held her ground, annoyingly. 

"If you already know what happened then why are you asking me?" Shadow challenged. 

"I was just giving a chance to here your explanation before I-" 

"Stormfly!" Meatlug cried thudding over. "What's gotten into you, Toothless is fine now, isn't that what matters?" 

"Stay out of this." Shadow growled turning to her. I took my chance, sending a volley of vicious sharp spikes at her. She ducked, plasma blasting me. I avoided her blast and got ready to breath some red-hot fire at her. She must have known what I was doing, but she just stood there. I my fire came blazing forward and hit her full on. But all the time she just stood there. When the fire stopped I was surprised to find her unharmed. 

"You missed a little fact about Night Furys, we are the unholy offspring of lightning and death. Fire doesn't weaken us, it makes us stronger." I took an involuntary step backward. "I'm not going to fight you, I don't want to hurt you." 

"I won't be the one getting hurt." I growled about to run at her when a Deadly Nadder intercepted my path. 

"Woah, Woah ladies let's calm down shall we?" He said. I looked him up and down. A mix of all the colours of the sunset. Phew he was hot. 

"And what authority do you have to stop this?" Shadow asked.

"No it's ok you can stop us," I smiled.

"Ok... well I just heard an argument and thought I had better come and check it out." 

*sigh*  knight in shining armour! 

"Look i'm going to like go and help Toothless... so yeah." Shadow said flying off. My swooning must have been pretty obvious. 

"So, what's your name?" I asked the new Nadder.

"Ember, yours?" 

"Stormfly." 

***End of Flashback***

He knew what he had done, hopefully now he would stay away from me.

I landed silently in front of Astrid’s house and went round the back to my shelter; I was surprised to find another Deadly Nadder in there.
