Three weeks had passed and they would be arriving at Zou any day now.
There were still no signs of (Y/N) wishing to return as Akuma kept mocking them that time was running out.
Luckily, her injuries were still severe enough so that she at least couldn't physically attack them.
But for every day that passed, they were all growing more anxious as her powers were about to return completely. They had seen what she was capable of and had no idea what the outcome would be. Especially since most of them were still recovering after Dressrosa.
Law was the only one who would enter her room since she, for now, seemed to find him interesting.
"To what do I owe the pleasure, Mr. Surgeon?~" she mused as he entered the room.
He didn't answer as his eyes drifted to another untouched plate of food on the table.
"You should eat." he muttered. He had no concern for Akumas well-being what so ever, but he didn't want (Y/N)'s health to deteriorate.
"Nah.~" she grinned. "I don't need food that often to live. It's just one of life's unnecessary pleasures. However.~" She sat up. "I wouldn't mind engaging in some of them with you.~"
He ignored her comment and took a seat.
"Oh? Do I get the honor of actually sharing more than two seconds with you today?"
Again, he ignored her and kept a firm gaze over her injuries. From a distance, they seemed to be healing nicely. But from his spot, it was difficult to confirm it properly.
"You have a lot of trust issues, don't you?~" she giggled. "Well, I don't blame you." she said, leaning back against the wall.
This got a small hold of his attention and he shifted a bit in his seat, but before he could question her, she beat him to it.
"The only reason that I haven't done anything to you, is because I find your history interesting."
He glared at her, which she just shrugged off before continuing.
"We've already been through this, I know, what she knows. Blah blah blah." she waved dismissively with her hand. "Honestly, I find it quite adorable that you try so hard to keep up that strong front when I bet that each and every night you're crying for mommy and daddy." she giggled and just as Law was about to lose his temper, he noticed her flinch.
"Ugh. Whatever." she muttered while rubbing her temple.
"Something wrong?" he asked, suppressing the knowing smirk that threatened to show.
She just rolled her eyes at him and tapped her fingers impatiently.
"What's wrong? You were so talkative just a minute ago." he pressed on, seeing the tickmark form on her forehead. She had never encountered someone with such a deliciously damaged past and who had such a strong front on the outside while weeping like a baby on the inside.
The tapping of her fingers sped up as her patience was running thinner.
Law thought for a moment. He knew teasing her wasn't going to do anything. She was too used to being hurt. Instead, he decided to play into her hands.
