Her body fell to the ground, abandoning the warm essence of life as it gives into death's cold embrace. Ignoring the swaying of her legs and the pounding of her heart in her ears, Sakura runs to her first friend. Fatigue from the battle catching up with her, Sakura falls to the ground. She crawls on the cold, hard dirt below her. She throws herself onto the body, searching for any sign of life. She struggles to contain the tears in her eyes as the lack of a heartbeat reaches her ears. Her body shakes. Sakura stares into the ice cubes known as Ino's eyes. She allows a few tears fall from her eyes as she stares hopelessly into the eyes that now lacked all signs of a bright blue sky. Too soon. Too many. Sakura couldn't stand it, too many of her family were dead. They were going too soon.

"I won't let you kill anyone else!"

My eyes open. It was just a dream. Why do I keep having them? I thought that I got over them! No...I'll never get over them! I grasp my hair as I try to rid my brain of the merciless thoughts of guilt. It's all your fault! You could have saved them! They died because of you! You are weak and useless! This is why Naruto and Sasuke left you! Kakashi-sensei never liked you either!  I let my thoughts consume me. This will make me stronger. I close my eyes and let guilt lull me to sleep.

~The Next Morning~

"Honey, she is fine!"

"No, Kizashi! 3-year-olds shouldn't wake up at three(3) in the morning! Especially not to wake up from a nightmare while screaming about somebody killing somebody else! This is not normal!"

"Well, what do you want me to do Mebuki! We know nothing about her! She is quiet and never tells us anything!"

"Exactly, Kizashi! She. Is. Not. Normal! We retired from the life of a shinobi a while ago! It is too dangerous!"

"Honey, if she trains early, it won't be a threat! Of course, only when she says she wants to be a kunoichi."

"Kizashi, I'm going to start making breakfast, why don't you get Sakura."

Otosan gives a nod. I pull the blankets over my head and mimic the breathing of a sleeping child. Shit! I didn't realize that they were awake earlier!

"Sakura? You gotta wake up. Okasan is already making breakfast."

I nod and slowly slide the covers off of me. At least I get to start training!

I should see if I can visit Hinata.
