CALLY'S POV
There was seven of us, we all sat in the meeting room of a hotel. We were 7 of nearly 1,000 models who had audition to sponsor Slipknot in a project that were doing to help aspiring models in the music industry.
The project they were doing was called "The Knot Girls" where seven of us was assigned to a slipknot number, minus #1 & #2. Basically us girls would have a 45 minute show by being a modeling group that performs a variety of different things such as sing and dance as a group. It was for exposure to the modeling industry.
The seven of us was:
Evon Yardley
Jean Floyd
Mavis Lovett
Marie Stevens
Kady Autumns
Rebecca Smith
And myself, Cally Quinn.
This was the first time we were meeting each other since getting picked and we were all quiet. This meeting was to meet three members of Slipknot, Shawn Crahan, Corey Taylor, and Chris Fehn, it was nerve racking.
"So what's everyone's name?" One said, "I'm Rebecca, I'm from Paris and I'm 25" she smiled.
"I'm Evon, Evon Yardley, I'm from Sydney, Australia, I'm 26" another said.
"Mavis, from London, I'm 25"
"I'm Kady Autumns, I'm from London as well, I'm 25 too"
"Marie Stevens, I'm from Germany, I'm 26" she smiled.
"My name is Jeanette Floyd, but I go by Jean, I'm from Russia, and I'm 27, I don't have a strong accent but I'm from Russia" she said as the girls laughed.
I looked up only to see everyone stare at me.
"Oh, I'm Cally, Cally Quinn, I'm from Des Moines, Iowa, USA. I'm 23" I said as they all looked at me in shock.
"Wow, you're still so young" Evon said.
"Yeah, I'm turning 24 in December so not super young" I said back.
Just then the door opened only to have Shawn, Corey, and Chris all come in together with paper works and folders.
"Good morning girls" Shawn said.
"Morning" we said in unison.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all, I'm Shawn Crahan" he said giving a shake to each of us.
"I'm Corey Taylor" he said giving us a hand shake as well.
"And I'm Chris Fehn" and gave is a shake before we all sat down.
It was quiet for a bit as they sorted through papers and folders. A few moments later the door opened and a hotel rep came in and handed us water as we all took it and thanked her.
"Okay, so of 1,253 girls each of you were picked. As you all know this project is called 'The Knot Girls' and depending on how fans respond, this will be the only tour we take you girls on unless we get positive reactions. The tour we are doing is a three month tour, with I Prevail, and Asking Alexandria, each band gets 45 minutes as well as you girls. Here we have contracts for each and everyone of you." Shawn said as Chris and Corey began passing us out a folder, "As you can see, this is contract pertains to work and your stay with us. This is strictly business, everything you need to know is in this contract. Insurance is covered, everything is paid for, and the most important one is relationships between the people we will be on tour with, this states that you cannot start a relationship physically or sexually with any of the former members of the bands, friendships are fine however anything other than that then you will be terminated as per part of contract" he said.
It was an entire list of things we could and couldn't do while on tour such as-cannot:
-Starting a relationship: sexually or physically
-Leaving while on tour (Sick or absent)
-Being late
It was going to be a rough three months on tour considering the contract.
Just as I looked up I caught Corey Taylor staring. Corey but just as I had he turned away.
"Anyway, we leave for tour in two weeks. Next week all you girls fly to Seattle, Washington where our first show will be, you'll be staying in the bus and we'll have a separate tour bus. We will be putting in the writer of what you girls request while on tour so make sure to email that to me. This tour isn't going to be super strict, so alcohol is in there" he said as we all laughed, "Anyway everything you need to know such as cities, time, and itinerary is in this folder. Any questions?"
"It says here we're doing Warped Tour but you guys aren't on it?" Evon said, "Is that a promo?"
"No. So they have saved a Slot for you IF you girls get a positive reaction from the fans, after we're done touring then you have 3 weeks off before going on warped tour, so as long as everything is good then you get that gig for exposure" he said as we all nodded.
"Do families get to visit?" Rebecca asked.
"Yes, unfortunately we don't pay for them to come out but they can if you want them too, however we can't take them on tour with us due to our insurance policy" Chris said.
It was quiet for a bit.
"Alright moving on. As you know you'll be portraying Slipknot on the tour so you get assigned a number of the member. We are using seven because of the respect of #1 and #2" he said as they all put there head down mentioning #2, "You'll each be getting a patch of your number and a jumpsuit that will be on the bus in a duffle bag of the things you need"
As everyone knew Paul Gray and Joey Jordison we no longer apart of Slipknot. Corey then stood up and passing out folders
"Evon Yardley, you're assigned to #0" he said giving her a folder,
"Rebecca Smith, you're assigned to #3,
Mavis Lovett, you're #4
Marie Stevens, you're #5
Jeanette Floyd, you're #6
Kady Autumns, you got #7
And—" he stopped and looked at me, "Cally Quinn, you're me" he said giving a light chuckle, "I mean #8" he said giving me a folder.
"Anyways these are your number, you're all representing Slipknot, so continue to keep these numbers" Shawn said, "Okay, well thank you so much ladies, we look forward to working with you, and you all will meet the rest of the band in Seattle, again thank you so much and we can't wait" he said.
This was nerve racking. I was nervous to work with the boys of Slipknot but I couldn't wait.
COREY'S POV
The guys were all excited to do this project because:
1. They were models
2. They were all beautiful
3. To give exposure to them all.
I was excited but also nervous because they were beautiful, I couldn't help but keep my eyes on one girl that caught my eye from the moment she auditioned and that was Cally Quinn.
Shawn, Chris, Sid, and Jim all wanted her because she was the only model from Iowa and she had a unique look to her, not to mention she was insanely beautiful.
(I've been working on this story for over a year and I hate the beginning but I love the rest of the story so just tag along lol)
