There’s a story on how music can make two different people fall in-love
There’s this boy named Sio, he's got this emo boy look and doesn’t really talk that much. You could say he has a boring life; all he does is play computer games, eat, and sleep. He doesn’t really pay much attention to his study, but he doesn’t fail it anyways. He’s very quiet when he is in school or any place outside his house. He has some friends but he doesn’t really go with them, but when Sio is at his home, it’s like everything about him changes. He loves to sing, even write songs and poems, but he’s too shy to let his friends know about what he’s good at. One time at their school there’s this event where you got to show your talent, he thought of joining it so he brought the songs he composed. But before entering the audition hall, he suddenly backed out and ran. He dropped his folder containing the songs he wrote. Then a girl picked it up and read what’s inside it. She suddenly cried and felt something heartwarming. She tried to find the person who owns it to give it to him but failed to do so, “how bad, I wanted to know who wrote these songs, they're beautiful!” She couldn’t get the lyrics out of her mind, even before she slept she is still mesmerized by the songs and the messages it holds. The next day, he couldn’t find Sio. So she decided to post at the bulletin board the folder containing those beautiful compositions, she wrote, “Lost and Found, Folder with beautiful compositions, I got tired of looking for the owner so I’ll just let him find me. I’m in the Playground by the way”. When Sio passed by the bulletin board, he didn’t even noticed it, but suddenly something’s telling him to check it out. He checked it out and he was shocked, he immediately ran to the playground to look for the mystery person who found his folder. He saw a girl and said;
“Excuse me, are you the one who posted this on the bulletin board?”
“Ha-ha! Got you, do you know how hard it is to find you? You’ve wasted half of my day” said the girl.
“I don’t care! Don’t you know that I’ve been keeping it a secret?” Sio said with anger.
“What secret?” she said.
‘Aahh! My folder! It’s a secret, and now look at what you’ve done. Almost everybody in school knows about this now.” He grabbed the folder and walked away.
The girl ran to Sio and said sorry, she was shocked about Sio’s reaction. She said sorry many times, then Sio stopped and looked at her.
“Now tell me? How am I going to tell this to my friends, I don’t like being with too many people you know” he said.
“Sorry sorry sorry! I really didn’t know and it wasn’t my fault also, you’re the one who dropped this folder. You're lucky I returned it to you and I didn’t even get a thank you!” she said shouting with little tears in her eyes.
Sio was speechless; he said sorry and told her that he was just shocked. The girl understood and smiled, she asked what’s Sio’s name was, he said
“ Sio.”
The girl laughed, “hahaha! What a name” she said.
“Why are you laughing?” Sio with a curious face.
“Haha! Let me tell you my name, my name is Mai. Get it? When we add up our names it sounds like a chinese delicacy.” Mai said.
“Woah ahaha, that’s funny.” He tried to laugh even though he doesn’t find it funny.
They continued to talk to each other and forgot to go to their respective classes. While they were talking with each other, Sio was very happy, he kept on laughing and now he’s not forcing it. They talked and talked and talked like there’s no tomorrow. He knew that Mai was also the same year as he is. They became very close, Sio changed a lot. He’s now active in school and is very talkative; he also had many friends now. Because of his grades becoming higher, he was transferred to the higher section. He met Mai there, that made his grades rise like a thermometer with high temperature. He was one of the top students and besides that, he also became popular. That continued until their JS (Junior-Senior) prom. At the occasion, the hired band got sick and there were no music in the place. It was so boring and suddenly Mai raised her hand and said,
“Hey guys! You wanna hear Sio sing? He sings very well you know”.
All of them shouted “Sio! Sio! SIo!”
Sio blushed and kept saying no, but he couldn’t resist the crowd. So he went up the stage and sang Ikaw lamang by silent sanctuary. Everyone cheered and got their hearts captured by the voice of Sio. They were all amazed on how he sings. The prom was a blast. After the prom, everytime Sio’s classmate sees him, they always shout, “ikaw lamang! Ikaw lamang! Wonder who’s that song dedicated to”. One of his friends knew that Sio and Mai was too close to be friends, so they planned something. His friend asked him,
“Dude, do you have feelings for Mai? Don’t lie to me, tell me the truth”,
Sio blushed and said “yeah”.
His friend shouted “yeah! Look dude I have a plan, wait” he called his friend and asked him if he knows how to play the guitar and said yes. “ok, were all ready, after lunch, come with us. We’re going to sing a song for Mai; of course you’re the one who will sing.”
After lunch, the bell rang.
“Woohoo, you ready dude?” his friend asked,
Sio said “yeah”.
When Mai entered the classroom one of her friend said that she should stay beside the door. She stayed right beside the door and suddenly, she heard someone singing, she recognize the voice but it’s not clear. Her friends were screaming, then Sio and his friends entered the classroom with Sio singing “Mahal kita pero di mo lang alam by Rocksteddy”, Mai blushed. Her face was really red. After Sio sang, he asked Mai,
“Mai, you changed me, you changed my life, and you gave me light that scared the darkness out of it. Now it’s my turn to repay you, I will give you everything to make you happy and make your high school life the happiest moments of your life, now may I please be your boyfriend?”
Everybody in the classroom screamed, even the students walking by their corridor went there to see what’s happening. Mai was crying, she said
“What the hell are you thinking? Making a scene like this, it embarrassing you know!”
Sio laughed and said “what’s wrong? I don’t care what they think, all I just want to know is do you love me that I love you too?”
Mai screamed and said “Yes!”
They were both happy and their relationship lasted until now.
