Karma - Prolouge

Tuesday. March 19th, 20XX.

The Underground has been relieved of the curse of the Barrier. Everyone seems to be happy, except a few who seem to be physically unable to smile. When the barrier was broken, it seemed as if it was like shackles removed from a prisoner, who had a life sentence. After Asgore, Toriel, Papyrus, Alphys, and the rest of their group explored this practically new world, the king called for the first meeting since the terrible incident with Asriel and Chara.

"Monsters of the Underground." Asgore spoke. His voice projected across the whole area of the creatively named 'New Home' where all of his subjects had gathered. Mumbling throughout the crowds of rumors spread like wildfire. But when the King spoke, hush fell across all. 

"I have very importance news to announce to all of you." Asgore's serious tone had many worried about what could be so important. "We have accomplished our goal. We have destroyed the barrier, and reconnected the entire underground back to the human's civilization!" For a moment, everything became even more silent than before. Then, a screech of enthusiasm roared throughout the whole entire underground. Before you knew it, Pyrope's were coiling around eachother, trying to... hug? Many monsters that some had never even seen before came from around the place. 

"Now, now everyone. That isn't the last announcement I have to make." Asgore said, with a childish amount of glee being hidden on his snout behind his bushy facial hair of bush. "The human that fell down... Is now the ambassador for this whole land." A mild silence stayed, for longer than the last time. Even though the monsters were friends with the human, they didn't trust them so much as to let them basically control their future with human relations.  

"Since we have finally left, to get everyone on their way I will do a few things. First, is the bravest soldier. They fought to the point of exhaustion, and they may be one of our most determined. A 10,000 G Reward goes to Captain of the Royal Guard, Undyne!" 

The crowd cheers for the beloved warrior, and Monster Kid nearly faints. Undyne walks up to King Asgore and receives an orange trophy, with Undyne's spear carved into it. The front says 'To Captain Undyne, The Bravest in the Underground's History'

"Undyne, would you like to give a speech?" Asgore asked. Completely unprepared, Undyne takes a small moment to comprehend the question, and shouts "HELL YEAH!" Asgore chuckles at this reaction, and hands her the microphone. Undyne, almost looking insulted, hands the microphone back and attempts to whisper "I don't need it..!"

"Listen up, punks! We're all free, thanks to all my AWESOME FRIENDS! Papy, get out here!" Papyrus struts out, posing along the way. Sans is also kinda just there, behind papyrus. "Sans, get back behind the curtains! You're not supposed to be here yet!" Undyne once again, attempts to whisper. Emphasis on attempts, seeing as though a horribly hidden chuckle mildly spreads through the crowd. "ok." Sans unsympathetically suspires. He continues to walk into the crowd, and not come out??? "Uh... Anyway!" Undyne confusedly says. 

"Papyrus has been working SO DAMN HARD EVERY FREAKIN' DAY to get into the royal guard! SO NOW!!!!! HE'S!!!!!!!!" Papyrus' face light's up with glee, hoping to become a royal guard member.

"The captain of the guard." 

"WHAT." Papyrus stated. "Yep! Since we don't need to kill humans anymore, you're the captain!" Undyne said. It was completely silent, until monster kid clapped. Don't ask. Then the pyrope's clapped, tsunderplanes, Glyde, Froggit, Napstablook, Moldsmal, Woshua, Madjick, everyone who could clap! 

Papyrus donned the helmet of a captain, and raised his bone spear into the sky in victory,  shouting 'NYEEEH!!!!!' Undyne decided to join, using her speary spear shouting 'NGAAAAAH' And to finish it off, you could here from tem village a distance 'Nya!' Then dogs barking, and well I don't think that the family friendly wattpad function would allow me to explain what happened between the Tem's and Tobe's. 

"I'd also like to thank THE BEST YELLOW DINOSAUR LIZARD THING IN THE FREAKIN WORLD!!! ALPHYS! (Come on alphys, now's your time!) she hid herself behind the curtains, getting psyched up. "Th-three.... T-t-two... O-" Then undyne proceeded to pick her up and hold her above her head, dropping the trophy. Luckily it was caught with papy's blue, but alphy's blushed so hard you'd think that Asgore was using fire magic to heat her up. 

"O-O-O-ONE!?!?!?!!?!??!!" Alphys questioned herself and Undyne, but never really got an answer. 

"Now now, settle down." Asgore softly spoke into the MTTcrophone™, and yes, mettaton snuck in and changed it. 

All walked off of the stage, mildly ashamed. Except papyrus, he kinda layed there. "Now. We shall provide transportation for all in the underground, from the Ruins, to Snowdin, to Hotland, Waterfall, Home, New Home, and anywhere else. We shall also do a quick survey to make sure you can go outside. Now, currently the only monsters out there are shop owners, and mettaton, so they can set up shop. Now remember everyone, please stay orderly, and line up in line of where you come from." 

After a few days, the high majority of monsters have left the underground. Only a few have homes, and the news hasn't spread quite far about the monsters. The humans that live near Mt. Ebott were astonished when they saw a large goat man with a yellow beard and crown, a skeleton with a blue jumper on, and a buff fish holding a hunchbacked lizard. 

At first, many humans attempted to attack the monsters, but to no prevail, as a small child stood in the way... Their name?
