I stare at my reflection in the mirror, looking at this broken soul.
He says he loves me, can you call this love? He says he'll do anything for me, but how do you know he is not lying to you?
He says he'll never hurt me, can you explain the marks that lace your skin?
As I watch this girl, I wonder why can't she realize this is not love.
How can I help her? You can't, she can only help herself.
How can I explain to her that this is not healthy, you cannot keep making excuses for him. If this is 'love', I don't want it. You know this is not love, so why do you trap yourself here?
"Because I Love Him" but the question is, does he love you? Yes. No!
Explain all the times he has laid his hand on you, explain all the times he has lied to you, explain to me why he always leaves you behind? This is nothing more then a game to him, he does this because he knows you always come back.
I watch her through clouded eyes, tracing the faded scares on her arms, she struggles to find answer for these questions. I watch her shake her head, He Loves Me.
No he doesn't, you KNOW he doesn't love you, he's going to get tired of you soon and you know it.
No! He's not, he said he loves me.
He WOULD never leave me, HE WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME! He is lying through his teeth, why are you so blind? How can you not see this?
I watch as she screams at the mirror, rising her fist in fiery. Smashing the mirror to pieces, she screams and screams. I flinch as I see the blood freely down her wrist.
You need to realize this, this is not love. You need to leave.
He loves me, he loves you not, he loves me, HE LOVES YOU NOT.
He isn't able to feel love; he doesn't know what love is.
All he knows is pain.
