Baekhyun watched the sky fade from an orange mass to a deep blue, ocean, stretching across the city. He looked out over the tall buildings, hair swept to one side by the wind. He was sat on the roof of the apartment building. It wasn't that high really, so he was perfectly safe, but he knew he probably should have paid attention to the 'No Public Access' Sign.
Baekhyun closed his eyes and leant back on the railing. His nose was getting red and he took off the cheap plastic glasses he had to wear for the shoot earlier on. Why did the photographers always make him wear glasses? He hated glasses, they made him look like a little kid.
Downstairs, Kris was lounging about on the sofa, sunshades hiding his sleeping eyes, while Luhan was preparing rice for the others.
“I know how to adjust the water level perfectly! Neh neh neh...” Luhanmimicked Chanyeol from earlier on.
“Hey! I'm used to a smaller cooker!” Chanyeol gave him a hearty nudge on his shoulder.
“Well, next time, don't brag so much!”
Chanyeol scoffed and continued chopping the onions. He wiped his eyes as tears started falling down his cheeks.
“Aw, Channie baby's getting wall tweawy 'cos I picked on 'im! Aw don't wowy Channie baby I didn't mean it!!” Luhan mocked him with pouted lips.
“Oh shut up! It's the onions!”
“Stop wiping your eyes, you're getting all the acid in them!”
Baekhyun pushed past them and grabbed a banana from the stand.
“Hey, Baekhyun,” Luhan smiled. Baekhyun acknowledged him with a grunt before turning and leaving the room, into the cold winter air outside.
Luhan continued filling the cooker as Chanyeol walked over to the glass door. He watched Baekhyun walking to a large patch of even snow. His socks were soggy and his feet must have been freezing. He unpeeled his banana and started drawing shapes in the snow with his foot.
Chanyeol tried to quietly open the door. 'Tried' being the operative word as it screeched along it's frame, making Baekhyun stare up at him.
“Baek, you really shouldn't go out without a coat, you'll catch a cold!” Chanyeol shouted over to him.
“Mm..” Baekhyun nodded and went back to drawing shapes in the snow.
“Baek,” Chanyeol shouted again.
“What, hyung?”
“Come inside, you're going to freeze.”
It was quite a sight. A very attractive young boy, standing in the snow, feet soggy and banana in hand. If anyone had chosen to climb over the fence at that time, which fans hadn't been afraid to do in the past, they would have questioned the happenings of the current scene.
“Okay,” Baekhyun took a bite of his banana, staring down at his artwork.
“Baek,” Chanyeol slipped on the shoes next to the door (they weren't his but, what the hell) and scooted over to him. He wrapped his arms around himself.
“Baek, come on. Wanna' help us make dinner?” Chanyeol said this excitedly, trying to encourage him.
“Not really..”
“Well, you're helping anyway.” He pulled on his arm until he was finally dragged inside.
Chanyeol sat him down at the table and placed the chopping board with the onions on in front of him.
