That blow had consequences no living soul could have foreseen. The ocean started evaporating. First the one, where the explosion took place, then the next, and next thing we know – there is no more oceans. No living soul could stop it.
They vanished just like that, like if they never existed. Sometimes, when I think about it, I imagine Earth from the space, having a lot of holes. They are injures from us, from humans.
I was very little at the time. I only herd stories of older people. They told how it looked from the shore, how they couldn’t understand at first. Later someone responsible was found. They punished him. But it won’t restore the ocean, it won’t change the past. Most people though cease to see it. They just go on, smile and joke every day. I haven’t smiled once since the accident. Not truly.
On the board of the ship, that contained the machine were only 4 people. My mum worked with such things, so she happened to also be on board as an assistant…
